does anyone know the rule or if there is a rule in fact about compensation for sacked managers?

If the rumour turns out to be true that Ramos is going to Atletico Madrid soon then will this mean our compensation payment ot him will be lower?
Isn´t there some rule that the compensation payment is based on loss of earnings? But if the sacked manager gets another job then his loss will be mitigated by the new salary.

I seem to remember something about this with Sven and England but can´t remember the rule.

If it´s true, lets all hope Ramos signs for Atletico soon and doesn´t cost us the millions that have been reported.

Anyone know? cheers

Whatever it costs us will be less than the cost of going down plus our tax bill.

If the rumours are true, we are posting a £50M profit. £20M of that could have been paid in tax (although it wouldn't as we aren't that stupid). So really it isn't costing much.

I'm not sure what the rules are, but his contract may have a clause for an ex-gratia payment that comes outside the scope of the rules (which I assume are in place to deal with situations where there is no contractual compensation in place).

Maxi miller said this morning that we had a clause stating he only got a 1 year salary pay off if he was sacked. Going by the way Levy is I can't see him giving out up to £6m a year on a 5 year contract knowing he will probably sack him within 18 months. Also Levy would've made sure that the main bulk of his salary would be on performance bonuses like he has in the players contracts.

Some media are stating this whole episode has cost us £30m which I think is total crap. nearer £10m all in I would think.
