The manager and chairman sets the tone, and Conte is not setting a very good tone

Hoping Man City beat Man Utd this weekend, which will leave us only 1 point behind them if we beat Stoke and will mean they will not have the same focus against us. Not sure where they will drop more points though, home to Arsenal maybe.

Think Liverpool have too much of a lead on the debacle that is Chelsea right now, even with CL distraction and having to go to Stamford Bridge, so think they will secure 4th.

Assuming Southampton don't win the FA Cup, they'd have to drop to 8th to miss out on Europa League. That's a 13 point deficit to Leicester. It's highly unlikely.

They imploded 2 years ago then gone and won the league last year without Europe distraction. I hope they do enough to get Europe this season since they cant get relegated anymore.
They've done enough to get Europe next season unless they lose every single game they have remaining.

.
There's another problem which is Conte never committed to Chelsea so the board were right to not fully back him and buy the players he wanted in that respect, I don't think he can have much complaints.
Good point this but conversely have the club actually committed to acoach since Jose's first few years? As a coach going there you'd have to wonder how long you will get and always have an eye on your next move, a bit of a vicious circle really.

I don't want to get carried away but...... i am told (not implying an inside source, just a fellow Yid who looked it up on the internet) that we would be in Pot 2 seeds next year. There are 8 in each pot and we are currently ranked 19th but three of the teams above us look unlikely to qualify. Of course Arsenal being one of them, may spoil that by winning the EL. Another reason to support Athletico Madrid, if one were needed.
Not sure if anyone has replied to this yet, but it isn’t as simple as that. Pot 1 is made up of 7/8 league winners, plus CL winners if they aren’t a league winner. Some of these will have a lower coefficient than us. That’s what pushed us into Pot 3 this season, as based purely on coefficient we’d have been Pot 2.

Well, with City being spanked tonight by Liverpuddle, if they want to go through they will really have to go at it full tilt next week, and this weekend they will really want to win at home to Man U to win the title. I recon that by next weekend they could be knackered. In the meantime we have just one game this weekend. Tonight's result was the best for us!! :):):)

that's only if they go full tilt Saturday, though they will have to go full tilt next Tuesday.

hopefully that 1st half and next Tuesday and possible knocks to Salah and Firmino might help Everton for the early Saturday KO

Yup if Liverpool go to semi final I think we will definitely finish above them. They will have Chelsea game straight after semi final 2nd leg. Which could still be a crunch game. The ironic thing is a run to the final could actually see them end up 5th . Only need to drop 4 pts for Chelsea to be back in it. If Liverpool lose Merseyside Derby chelsea will be right on their tails if they win game in hand. And hopefully city be on their knees from exhaustion and partying by time get to Wembley. Also if city win title and go out CL they can mentally switch off as they are basically done for the season.

Don’t agree with your last point, if they go out of the CL the only thing they have to play for are all the PL records they can break. Then again I think Pool have now shown twice how to play City, no doubt we can do the same at Wembley.
