Sane will destroy that right hand side with Arnold and lovren.
Only way 4th doesn't get CL is if Arsenal win the EL and Liverpool win the CL whilst being out of the top 4. The odds on all that happening and us being the club in 4th is minuscule.
Especially as ironically it would be us and Chelski who would knock them out. So very doubtful. However I can see ARSEnal winning the EL and if Liverpool play like they did last night against Man City ( who I had as favorites) they could win it. It’s the finishing outside the top 4

If the league finishes:

1. city
2. united
3. spurs
4. dippers
5. chavs
6. shite

But Arsenal win the EL and Liverpool win the CL, who do the four CL places go to next season?

Because to me it looks like City, United, Liverpool and Arsenal...

The top 4 will still stay as it is and Arsenal will also get a 5 spot because of the EL win

Agree - Liverpool haven't got the squad to go that much further in the CL without risking their place in the top 4. Instead of a 78 pt finish say, maybe they'll end up on 73 points- a win and 4 draws - which is borderline.

Chelsea are 10 points behind, but also have a game in hand - if Conte hadn't already thrown in the towel, I think they'd have a fighting chance of steeling 4th with 6 straight wins and 74 pts.
They still have Liverpool to play at home too.

London rivalry aside, I'd rather Liverpool lost out on the CL, as they'd sell their better players again and it would genuinely hurt their ambitions. Chelsea are funded differently...
I don’t because I think ARSEnal can win the EL and if Liverpool concentrated on CL and one it but finished 5 th and we were fourth, we miss out on CL! So I want Liverpool to finish 4th!

I think the Foyth signing was quite telling in regards to Poch future. Must have been very big deal for foyth to leave Argentina at that age. Poch must have played a big part in convincing him. He must have given him some reassurance that he would be at spurs for a while. I believe Poch to be a man of his word. I don’t believe he’d make false promises that involved a kid uprooting his whole life, if he wasn’t totally committed to the project. Poch isn’t an idiot, he’s in a totally unique situation with us. He has the opportunity to replicate Ferguson and Wenger. I very much doubt he’s gonna find the exact blend he has here at any other club in world football.

There’s a max of 5 in Europe next season for this possibility but not 6. So only issue is 2 clubs outside the top 4 winning European trophies. Liverpool and City will finish top 4 and Chelsea are out of CL so no fear there anymore. It will be top 4 and possibly Arsenal, tho they have a way to go.

If Liverpool finish 5th and us 4th that would mean Chelsea overtaking us which, whilst possible, is now highly unlikely.

If you guys really think Liverpool will beat one of Real Madrid Barca Bayern over 2 leags and then beat one of those in a final and that’s without actually finishing off city yet , you are smoking some heavy duty weed. Remember Liverpool were 3-0 up to Sevilla with just 45 mins to play. That’s not even taking into account Arsenal a better team would have put 4 past them last night. The chances of all that happening and the league positions falling exactly in sync are so remote it’s not even worth thinking about.

I also remember people saying there is no way that will get past City, and let’s face it for anyone who saw the match they destroyed them, especially first half. And I really think City were one of the favorites to win the CL. Now I am not saying Liverpool WILL win the CL only that is possible. And I would say after lasts nights win and the teams left in the competition ARSEnal have a very good chance of winning that.

The whole Liverpool finishing outside the top for is highly improbable but of course not impossible. Remind Leicester City on the league the year before last! Funny ole game football.

Tbh the most unlikely thing is that Chelsea will finish 3 rd. they must be over 50/1 to finish 3rd and that’s what needs to happen before anything else. The whole argument is nonesense, because its really just the same argument that Chelsea will finish above us.
