If your Leicester or Newcastle your thinking we can do what West brom have done and nick something. Stopping spurs win is there only motivation now.

Whichever way it goes tomorrow it's still in our own hands. If Chelsea win we can still secure 3rd and if Liverpool win, well then it's one point to secure CL unless Chelsea can makes makes up a 10 goal difference. On the face of it, being at Wembley all season and with key players injured for critical periods that's still good enough for me.
That's what worries me.

Good we have Newcastle with nothing to play for, how’d that go last time?

wasn't that in front of 50k Newcastle fans on their final day of the season, that spent more time trying to convince Rafa Benitez to stay. this time it will be in front of our supporters in a match we might only need 1pt. On that day the we lost 5-1 with CL confirmed, and came out not expecting a tough match and played in neutral till we was 2-0 down. Poch won't let that happen, there is no way we come out and not try, the players will lose too much money if we fail to get CL.

Newcastle at best can finish 1 place higher, doubt they will be on much of a bonus as they haven't put in any effort since they secured survival

This is killing me.

After a tough start, we started to really kick on and now we're limping over the finish line, hopefully for 4th, hoping for other teams to do us favours.

4 points from Brighton, Watford and West Brom.

We desperately need a shakeup, but what's going to change in 3 days? It's hard to see us getting 3 points from Newcastle and Leicester let alone 6.

our squad know how much it will hit their pockets. yes the ops keepers might have a good day, but their outfield players haven't made much effort in their Leicester = last 5 games = 1pt, Newcastle = 0 points since they secured prem football next season

Newcastle and Leicester are sort bogey teams for us. Leicester probably would love to do chelksi a favour. I’m not too confident in the mentality of our players at the moment.

While I’m a little antsy on top four, I’m not sure I buy this whole “Newcastle/Leicester are out to stop us” mentality.

Leicester in particular are doing their usual revolt against the manager schtick. I’m less worried about the opposition than I am our performance. But I think they’ll do what it takes to win.

Liverpool can help out for sure - might even root for them to score a consolation goal in the final if they do

Those getting a bit nervy might want to check the apparently mighty Newcastle’s final game of the season.

Most likely scenario . Chelsea win all 3 of their last matches. Injury time winner against Liverpool who win their last one. We draw at home with Newcastle , leaving us needing to beat Leicester. Anyone feeling confident about that ? Our best hope is that Liverpool don’t realize how bad we are right now and really go for it tomorrow.

They don’t really need to be. We’re well capable of it all by ourselves

@Lighty64 you are like the ying to @yankspurs's yang: absolutely believing on blind faith that we will definitely be okay, just like good ol' Hank can sometimes get himself convinced that we have a 100% probability to fuck important situations up.

To quote Steven Seagal in Marked For Death, "They were both wrong!"

As opposed to it being out of our hands.....?? I understand that people are worried about the drop in form and the risk that we might lose our last two but c'mon.
Juventus at home.
United semi final
Two seasons ago.

We do have a habit of dropping form at the wrong time when things are supposed to be in our control. That's why it's a worry and why I think if we were chasing we may be a little more relaxed.

West Brom
Man City
Watford
Leicester

Our form and performances dipped when we played these four before Xmas. Is there a link with these clubs? Or is it just a coincidence?

I just wish we were playing better and I'd be a lot more positive despite the results. We're playing a team who just lost to Watford and then a team who just lost 5-0 to Palace and more recently at home to West Ham but then, the Watford game on paper at that point was one of the easiest games we could have had and we were very lucky to win it.

I just don't want to see a slow ponderous Wembley performance. Would love to just have us with our shooting boots on, on the night and that we can win convincingly. Of course I'll take any win, but I'm thinking about my health too :(

So if Chelsea fail to win tomorrow a win on Wednesday will see us safe right? Just need Liverpool to at least get a draw!

HAHA - like we relied on them a few years ago when they were playing Arsenal there last game of the season
It only seems to happen to us.

I am preparing myself already for the "Its happened again" shit

Unless pool win tomorrow, top 4 is gone IMO as I don't see us getting 4 pts from these 2 games

Liverpool winning is the only way we'll get CL imo really that simple. The way these lot are playing we're gonna get 2 pts maximum from the last 2

Hopefully the players can stop looking for assurances long enough to get those two points ...

we have a squad that knows that if they fail to get 4 more points they will lose a pretty big bonus next season in playing in the CL. the points we have dropped since we beat Chelsea have all been teams that had something to play for, City the title, Brighton & WBA survival. Newcastle and Leicester have absolutely nothing to play for

if Chelsea win tomorrow then Liverpool will be panicking too, and yes we will be in a position of failure, but at least wait until the result of tomorrow before you start throwing your toys out of the pram
Newcastle and Leicester are probably saying "lads it's Tottenham"
