there was a time when I'd have done almost anything to have him as our manager.....thinking he was gold dust, almost guaranteed to win you the league.

how time have changed. Now all I see is a whiny little bitch.

I wouldn't be so quick to predict a Mourinho demise etc. Let's just hold off a little while longer first. I've made the mistake of saying he was done once before so I'm a little hesitant to do it again. I can certainly see him letting everything turn to poison before he leaves United, so that he can rock up at PSG heralding a board who will give him unlimited funds.

Sorry but any manager in World football would be tempted by United.

Yes the Utd job has to be in the top five jobs in world football but I don't think poch would go there, I think poch likes a challenge and going to Utd is all too easy to win trophies at.

The FA cup or league cup maybe but the premier and the champions league is still a challenge building a legacy like Ferguson would be a challenge.

Truth is we don't know if he would take a job with Utd or not but I think he will stay with us for a while yet.

would be interesting to get the take of some of those who are around the game generally....my sense is that Utd are going to have to double down and give Jose more money to spend...a lot more. Where else can they go?
Could see a BIG bid for Rose in January, something to force our hand.....particularly with Pool getting VVD.
Could also see a huge check waived at Ozil to have him commit to joining them in the summer.

One of our main rivals for a top four place spending a world record fee for a defender. Liverpool showing real ambition.
They are spending money, no doubt and are putting together a decent squad, but is vvd really worth 75 mil? Really? Who would you drop in our back 3 for him? Toby? No. Jan? No. Sanchez? He is 5 years younger, cost 30 mil less and for me will be a vastly better CB in a couple of years. Ambition has to be shown in the right way.

Their problems in defence run a lot deeper than 1 signing. I don't think Klopp gets it. I don't think he knows how to train and organise a back line... They don't have bad players. He just doesn't get it IMO.

Yep. That's what all his talk is essentially. He's just applying pressure on those above him. "Look at Pep, he got £60m more than me and more players he wanted, give me the same or I walk"

Ever since he walked in at Chelsea that's his shtick. He spent a ton on new players, won the league, showed off, everyone creamed themselves about him and he showed off some more. Problem is he came up against Pep at Barca who he couldn't get one over on, even at the richest club in the world at the time. Now it's happening again. He's hating every moment that Pep is number 1, and he will do anything to ensure that he gets back above him. If that means leave to PSG to ensure he pips Pep to the CL then that's what he'll do.

I hope he stays at United, if he leaves, they will try for Pochettino. We could do without the speculation.

I still expect us to finish second with Chelsea being the main rivals there. City of course are too far ahead but we have the next best team

I think Jose knows his team are overachieving and is making sure he gets the excuses in before they start falling. United will probably get fourth with Arsenal and Pool fighting it out for fifth

Showing ambition? Yes. Will it help? IMO, no. There problems run deeper. They dont have bad players in defense. It’s just that i dont think Klopp is good at coaching and cant organize well. Klopp has taken Dejan Lovren who was real quality for Saints under Poch and made him look pub league standard and he’s just one in a defense that looks comically bad and vulnerable game after game. VVD is a good, not great defender and just screams a panic buy at £75m for multiple reasons.

Ambition? at £75 million sounds more like desperation.
They may have over paid but he’s their’s unopposed and ready to play from 1st January. He certainly will strengthen them that’s for sure, as Lovern, Matip and the other one are liabilities.

Yep agree

It's look at us we are just like city "it's our fooking year" sad tossers cant wait for them to implode go in to receivership and flats get built on the ground.

Jokes aside I'm not certain he will ever get it right as he is such a believer in attack being the best form of defence and the new trend of park the bus and counter isn't going away to soon imo
