Why do we need Parker?

i'm with you 1000% with that one but for some absurd reason we are chasing Parker, i.e. a midfielder, hence if we are gonna get a midfielder we dont really need then I would rather it be Diarra than Parker. VDV could and would be our number 10!

What I like about VDV is that he has been a consitent goal scorer from midfield. He has in 187 games in Germany and Spain scored 60 goals (1 in 3.12 games). None of our midfield even come close to that ratio......

That's because the majority of them have been playing in the "Lampard position" having two midfielders behind holding, and allowing him to get into the box. None of our midfielders have the opportunity to do this because we have always played with two strikers.
