Not much of a story but the Mail wrote this today

Tottenham are considering a £7.5million bid for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.
The 17-year-old is wanted on loan by QPR but Spurs are keen on a permanent deal.
The club are continuing to negotiate with Manchester City over Emmanuel Adebayor, 28.

Seems a great talent but may leave Liverpool due to being home sick, so it would be a yes from me but apparently a liverpool fan told me he has 1 or more kids and this is reason for him wanting to move to London

I'm sure Liverpool will be very reluctant to sell, they're in dire need of good wide options and he looks like the best prospect in their academy from what I saw in the NextGen last year.

True but I think it all hinges on his desire to move back to London

Remember they signed him from a London team, QPR i think. Not unreasonable for a young kid to struggle to settle in a new city and want to go home, and if so it would be pretty heartless of Liverpool to force him to stay

He's not homesick and is very happy so don't know where thats come from. The club wouldn't allow him to leave anyway and from everything I'm told doesn't want a move.

He's just been promoted to the first team had talks with Rodgers were he was told he will get his chance under him and is excited and the club are negotiating a new contract with him so it will cost clubs in the next 3-4 years a fortune if they want to buy him.

He's certainly one to watch.

£7.5 million for a 17-year-old?

Knowing Levy it's probably akin to the Bostock deal.

Something like:

£2 million up front
£2 million after 50 PL games
£1 million after 10 full England matches
£2 million if Spurs win the league and Sterling scores 20 goals
£500k if Charlie Adam breaks a leg....

Would liverpool have a choice if he wanted to leave or would it go to tribunal (fryers).

The lads only 17/18 and i seem to remember plenty of us saying the same about Lennon when he first came to us....

The Lennon comparison is obvious but lazy. He's nowhere near as fast as Lennon is/was and Azza's actual touch and technique has always been of a high standard.

Sterling may turn out to be half decent player but I think he'll drop down the leagues before possibly working his way back up ala Scott Sinclair rather than establishing himself at somewhere like Spurs or Liverpool.

You were talking about his final ball, i replied stating that Lennons final ball was laughable at times when he was younger, what is lazy is changing the parameters in the discussion to suit yourself when they were not the focus to start with...

No need to take it personally. It's a lazy comparison because you're suggesting that one short arse little live-wire with an inconsistent final ball is automatically analogous with another. That's complete bollocks to be quite honest.

Seen him a couple times now and he looks out of his depth, seems a very average player.

So we've just sold Pienaar for £4.5m and we're looking at this kid at £7.5m. Riiiiiiiiiiight! Move along, nothing to see here (I hope).

I pasted an article on here from the Mail a few months ago. I reckon this one is pretty similar. JJ poo pooed it back then.

I guess things change but on that basis I cant see it being true.
