Looks like another Eduardo type injury, leg just hanging off.

Sky haven't so much as shown a replay. They reckoned it was too harrowing to show.

You could see half his shin and ankle just hanging with the rest of his leg pointing up, another potential career ender.

It didn't look like a straight red card job though, another one of them where he's unlucky his studs were in the ground.

Apparently Shawcross and a few of the Arsenal players were in tears over it.

Feel desperately sorry for the kid. Hope he can make a full recovery.

It was a 50/50, Shawcross is a big lad, Ramsey isn't. Shawcross went off crying, the facial expressions of the Arsenal players were reminiscent of St. Andrews.

Ramsey was conscious and didn't need oxygen as far as I could see, and the bone didn't look like it was out of the skin, so shouldn't be on the same scale as Eduardo's, I hope, anyway.

None of them were exactly in tears, but clearly shaken by what they saw.

I went back and watched it again, fucking horrible injury. Although to be fair I don't think it was a malicious tackle.

As others have said, it didn't look a bad tackle. It was just misfortunate.

Hopefully he'll make it a good recovery.

I only saw it in real time as they refused to show replays, looked fairly nasty but clearly wasn't delibrate.

Despite Campbell prancing around the referee demanding Shawcross be sent off, who left the field in tears.

I feel sorry for Shawcross and Ramsey - must be pretty hard to live with.

I havent seen it but this is the quote from the online sky report....

66 Shawcross gone for a horrific challenge on Ramsey. His leg is gone, broken. This really is horrific. Shades of Eduardo. What a shame...
67 The players are in tears. Shawcross is crying as he leaves the field. Vermaelen doesn't want to look. My stomach is still turning. Fabregas looks shell-shocked. Sad scenes here.
70After a period of treatment Ramsey is stretchered from the pitch. A standing ovation from the fans, which is lovely to see.

Sounds pretty nasty....

Poor Ramsey, he is such a fantastic talent. I hope this won't be the end of his career.

Poor Shawcross aswell. Horrible bad luck.
