No way should this happen. A season playing low quality football will hinder his career. Championship would be better if he is loaned.

Winks will at least experience the atmosphere at one of the most passionately followed football clubs in the World.

There is not much bigger than Glasgow Rangers in terms of history and the desire to return to the SPL will be a great memory for a young English lad.

In some ways Rangers are bigger than Tottenham.

Football has many sides to it. Various experiences hone the player.

Winks would never forget his time at Rangers.

If we are going to send players to Scotland the club should develop a link up with the likes of Dundee United, Aberdeen or Hearts who are trying to close the gap on Celtic.

Sending a player to the mess that is The Rangers right now would not be a step forward in the development of any young player.

Not sure Hearts are the tram trying to close the gap on Celtic. Well I guess they are back playing in the same league...

I hope not. Would much prefer a championship loan ahead of Scotland full stop

Nonsense sorry.

There are other clubs I would not send our players to right now either - Leeds, QPR to name but two.

Ask Newcastle how the loans at Rangers worked out for their five players. In time Mark Warburton might be the one to look after some players, but this is not the year.

The pressure to succeed at Hearts, Dundee United or Aberdeen would not be as great as at Celtic or in time, at Rangers, so a young English player could work at his game without dealing with the abuse and expectations that he would have to deal with.

Disagree. It's all good experience for the young player. I've said twice before there are more things to honing the young player than just the football itself.
