Nobody played below a 7.

I‘ll give Dier, Aurier and Kane 9.

MOM torn between Dier and Aurier, but just about settled on Dier.

Honestly I think City were poor (especially Ferran Torres and Mahrez, they were absolutely woeful) which made it a bit easier for us. But really pretty much everyone played well and did their tasks admirably.

Sissoko and Hojbjerg were the standouts though, they were just everywhere mopping up. Aurier and Kane also stood out.

Dier my MOTM.

Kane, Toby, PEH a close 2nd.

All others played well defensively as a team.

We couldve used the ball better so as not to invite pressure, but with that kind of defensive display, I'm a happy man.

Lloris - 8 - no mistakes
Aurier - 8 - very good effort and faultless. Currently our #1 RB
Alderweireld - 8.5 - hopefully not serious injured. Very good defensively and great ball to Kane for the 2nd
Dier - 9 - Defensive masterclass
Reguilon - 8
Hojbjerg - 9 - what a player he is. His spirit, fight and cleverness are so valueble. MOTM
Sissoko - 8.5 - Often critizing him but today was his game. Calm on the ball and very good defensive work.
Bergwijn - 7.5 - Good effort
Ndombele - 8 - great ball for the first goal
Son - 8 - loves an early goal against City
Kane - 8 - so clever
Lo Celso - 8 - first PL goal, great timing. For me a starter
Lucas - 7 - Alright
Rodon - NET, not out of place

Jose - 10 - masterclass

I thought the team was brilliant. I know they gave it to Kane, and he was brilliant but, Dier was man of the match all day long. He was immense from start to finish.

Such a shame Toby got injured but Dier’s confidence will be so high after this result.

That was Juve in the 90s level defending. Outstanding. The whole back line held their composure and concentration the whole match which is no easy task against a side like that. Well supported by a CM that worked its legs off.

I went for Dier who looked top class. But Serge wasn't far behind along with Hojbjerg.

Brilliant team performance and I hope Toby is OK. Rodon had a great cameo, although only 10 minutes or so, he still had to be switched on and it spoke volumes we didn't notice Toby going off.

I understand there will be a few players being put forward for MOTM but I just cannot get away from Kane today. The guy was unplayable, he created the space for the first goal and assisted the second. He gave two very good CB's an absolute run around. Took pressure off us at important times and was so clever in everything that he did. What a player we have!

Admirable mentions for Hojbjerg (I've spoken about how important I thought he would be since the day he signed) and Dier who was unbelievable defensively, an absolute rock!

Well done Jose, keep proving those doubters wrong, perfect tactics!

Very difficult to really criticise anyone this evening.
Excellent result. Top of the table. Let’s enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Our CBs at least a 9; although 10 for Toby wouldn’t be a stretch - absolutely owned the defence. One save despite all that pressure? Incredible.

Honestly I think City were poor (especially Ferran Torres and Mahrez,
I so disagree with that opinion. We made them poor! Give someone like Mahrez time and space he will kill you. Our Reguilon did not allow it. And our team on a whole stifled them where they could not break our defensive play. So to summarise I think Man City were good but we were better!

My MOTM: Dier

Harsh on Stevie, ndombele and Lucas.

Although he did very well the only negative was reguillon giving the ball away a few times.

Hard one to pick today, can I pick José? If not then Toby for me.
