My MOM is Dembele although there is a very strong case for Vertonghen.

Lloris 7
Walker 5 -thought he was poor, caught out of position a few times. Also if Michu got his head on the ball rather than Lloris' elbow we could be here talking about how he kept their whole attack onside..
Vert 7.5
Gallas 7
Naughton 7
Lennon 7.5
Dembele 7.5
Sandro 7.5
Dempsey 6.5
Ade 6.5
Defoe 6

Sig 6.5
Parker NET but great to see him back
Townsend 7

Livermore 1 for being a Knob and getting a yellow. Doesnt play and still gets slated

Don't think we had a massively stand out performance but give it to Vert for the goal

Lloris-6.5 Did what he needed to, did well at the end to prevent Michu
Walker-5.5 Not a great game, sloppy passing on occasions and a lack of composure
Vertonghen- 7.5 Defended well and showed great technique for the goal
Gallas-7 Better from him today
Naughton-7 Put in some good challenges, best game i've seen him play for us at LB
Sandro-6.5 Pretty good, could improve passing a little
Dembele-7 Excellent first half, worked hard overall
Dempsey-6 Pretty non-existent, nothing bad nothing good
Adebayor-6 Couple of decent runs but nothing great, Swansea doubled up on him really well
Defoe-5.5 Didn't have his shooting boots on today, Swansea dealt with him effectively

Sig- 6.5 Did OK
Townsend- 6.5 Good running from the lad but showed a tad of inexperience at the end when he gave the ball away

Lloris 7.5 - feel much more comfortable when he's in goal.
Walker 6 - had his ups n downs but wasn't too bad
Verts 8 - Strong man love for this guy MOM
Gallas 7.5 - thought he played well, but you could tell he's lost alot of his pace.
Naughton 7 - played well, his best game at LB for us I thought.
Lennon 7 - gave their LB some problems, still not his best, but still plyed well.
Sandro 8 - Full on beast mode from Sandro today, love him, if Verts didn't score he would have got MOM.
Dembele 7.5 - another good game from the big man, gotta keep him fit.
Dempsey 6.5 - didn't do much IMO, played ok though.
Ade 7 - good work rate, needs to be in the box more I think though.
Defoe 6.5 - kept himself busy, should have scored atleast a couple.

Sig 6.5 - kept things ticking over.
Townsend 7 - good contribution, good attacking threat.
Parker NET - great to see him back

Why is Walker getting such bad ratings? I thought his recent improvement continued barring that horrible effort !

Can't quite work out if we stifled Swansea or they were set up that way by Laudrup. We controlled the game, had plenty of the ball, had a lot of shots but struggled to really carve Swansea open. Granted, it's tough to break down deep lying teams but we made wrong decision after wrong decision in the final third. We are still screaming out for a bit of cleverness. It's becoming apparent to me that Lennon's days could be numbered. The way the squad is shaping up (if the Mouts links are true) we are definitely going to need someone in the inside right position who offers more of a goal threat.

The goal came at a time when I thought we'd huffed and puffed ourselves to death. Great finish by Jan.

Lloris - 8- did nothing wrong and a lot right. That punch at the end was heroic. Worth a goal that sort of stuff.
Walker - 5 - though he was poor aside from the half volley attempt. He specialises in the hospital pass.
Naughton - 5- thought he was as poor as Walker but does have being played out of position as an excuse
Jan - 8 - had Michu in his pocket. Could well be the best finisher at the club. Has to play CB from now on. Future captain.
Gallas - 8 - faultless
Lennon - 6 - wasted a number of good opportunities. Poor final ball and continues to kick a ball like my 5 year old nephew. He must have really small feet.
Dempsey - 5 - a nothing performance.
Sandro- 8 - gave them no time and made countless tackles. The spoiler of all spoilers. There is still too much of an emphasis on him to create. He is no playmaker.
Dembele - 8 - thought he was brilliant. The one player we have who keeps moving and makes himself available. Still think there's more to come. Needs to lift his head a bit and find a pass in the final third. Worked tirelessly in closing down.
Adebayor - 7.5 - hardest he's worked in ages. Hope his injuries not too bad.
Defoe - 5 - Jermain, Jermain, jermain. Wasted two glorious chances by blasting rather than placing. Failed to pass on at least 3 occasions when he decided to shoot rather than lay someone in.

Townsend looked lively. Siggy should be starting ahead of Dempsey. His movement is much better and there are the faint glimmers of a decent player there. Good to see General Scott back.

Good win in the end.

Sad to say about one of our own, but I agree with this. Takes a special kind of woefulness to be a liability to the team despite not getting on the pitch. Thank fuck Scotty is back in contention to effectively block Huddlestone's and Livermore's paths into the team, and hopefully we can do the best thing for both THFC and Livermore by moving Jake on to a club more suited to his abilities in the January transfer window. Hope he makes a decent living for himself in the game, but I don't even want him anywhere near our bench in the future.

Played numerous poor passes in the attacking third, that awful shot, kept everyone onside for that final Swansea attack and at one point in the second half I noticed he lost the ball three times in quick succession by our corner flag. I'm not a fan of Walker but he has improved in the last 4-5 games, although today he was poor again

Lloris 7 - Good decision on the Michu-incident. Stupid decision coming out for the duel between Gallas and Michu on the edge of the box. There was no need for him to be there.
Walker 5 - Extremely sloppy passing and positioning all over the place. Like someone said he played Michu onside by not pushing up with the rest of the team.
Vert 7.5 - Scored the winner and solid throughout.
Gallas 7 - Solid I thought
Naughton 6 - Sloppy at times in possession and some bad decision making in the final third but not bad overall.
Lennon 5 - Just poor today. He's too static. He needs to move around and create passing alternatives for team mates or to draw opposition players with him to create space. He hides too much. The few times he cut inside or got free on the right his end product was non-existent. His workrate is usually phenomenal though.
Dembele 7 - Still a bit to go until he's back to his very best.
Sandro 7.5 - Some sloppy passing but mostly a beast.
Dempsey 5 - Did nothing.
Ade 7 - Did well, could see he was frustrated with lack of movement, especially in one instance when no one showed any desire to get in the box when he wanted to cross it. I couldn't believe it either.
Defoe 6 - He didn't look like he wanted to score today. A lot of times he never drove into the box when crosses where about to come in. He just jogged casually outside the penalty box. I don't get it. Some poor shots too. Should've at least had one goal today.

Sig - 6.5 - did ok, great ball to Defoe which deserved a better finish
Parker NET
Townsend 7 - Very lively and did well whenever he was involved.

Most worrying is that we keep panicking after taking the lead. Why can't we just keep playing football?

We need a CM/AM that can hold possession and unlock defences. I just don't feel confident about winning home games anymore, like under Redknapp. It's not the players or AVB's fault. We're just missing that player that can make our other ones tick.

Sandro for me, he was immense

Verts of course and Dembele were also both impressive

Adebayor played well up front although his end product was lacking and I was very impressed by Townsend's little cameo

Good game today. I thought it was a good game of football and I thought we played well.

We dominated a good Swansea side today, if you look at the stats they had zero shots at goal and we totally dominated possession against a good footballing side who still looked good on the ball and passed it about well at times today.

I thought we played well first half and should of been winning by at least a couple of goals. It was good to see us passing back to normal I thought we passed the ball well. I was quite shocked Swansea were set up so defensively as every time they attacked us they did look a real threat and they passed the ball well in midfield etc but saying that I guess they had to.

I thought Dembele had a really good first half and dominated that midfield, love the way the ball just sticks to his feet and them little runs he goes on.

Overall a very enjoyable game to watch today.

Lloris- 8 done well a couple of times to come of his line and punch the ball. If freidel was in goal I think it would of been 1-1

Walker-5 looked poor, one good shot, wasted a good chance to score, gave it away in silly positions, worry's me

Vertoghen-8.5 good game, great finish for the goal.

Gallas-8- good game Defdended well

Naughton-6.5 done some ok things today actually and done some silly things I think against a better side he would of cost us. Dont think hes anything special.

Lennon-7 done some good things, made some very good runs, got into very good positions worked hard but as usual his finial ball let him down!

Dembele-8.5 good game. first half he played really well. tired out near the end but worked so hard, some great runs, etc

sandro-8 done well, gave it away a few times but done what he had to do.

dempsey-5 average player.

ade-8 done well when he was on, held the ball up well, was all over the pitch, saw the ball so much more than defoe. was working so hard coming back and helping.

defoe-5 poor, couple of ok shots, wasted some good chances, greedy and some crap simple balls.

townsend-6 done well when he came on.
SIG-6 done ok when he came on too

Seen lots of people saying this, but every time (and I mean every time) I saw Swansea play last season, Caulker would have to bail him out at least once over the course of 90 mins. Maybe he's improved this season.

Slagging 1 of our own because he ran onto the pitch in support of his teamates?
Pathetic post

Not sure how anyone especially the people who sit near me thought we were crap today and it was a poor game? I thought it was a real good footballing game today and I enjoyed it very much.
