Once you've let that sink in have a look at Leicester's home results this season and pay attention to who they've taken point off at the KP.
What? They managed to draw against Arsenal and Everton and beat United at the start of the season, they beat United when United had an injury crisis and a new system. After their win against United they have lost 10 games and drawn 2, home and away. Perhaps you find that impressive, I do not.

After that they managed to draw against Burnley and Sunderland, apart from those draws they've lost all games, home and away. Perhaps you find that impressive, I don't.
Indeed which shows that it's not an easy place to go and get a result, we could have easily dropped points but we didn't. If you think we have a devine right to be dominating and thrashing these teams then you're a bit deluded I'm afraid.

The last 12 games shows that it should be a very easy place to go.

We should have lost, we were really poor and was saved by Lloris and bad finishing. We were dominated by the worst team in the league.
They're the team with the fewest points but not the worst team in the league. They're there because of poor finishing and, like today, Their fans have said "how did we not get anything out of that game" in about half of their last 10 losses.

Anyway, we won, all that matter at this point in the season.

Lloris was fantastic again today as usual. Kane's workrate is always excellent.

I thought Bentaleb was really really poor today. He really needs to work on being more alert on the ball and move it forward quicker. He needs to be a lot more stronger in the tackle as well. Otherwise there is no point in him being on the pitch. He's starting to do the things that make me really frustrated and fed up with Capoue. I just hope Bentaleb can change that about him. Luckily he has age on his side, but he really needs to work on this, It has a poor effect on our team performance.

Fucking hell boys, you'd think we'd have lost by some of he reactions and rating in here. Ground out a good win against a side fighting for their lives.

Unbelievable: Hugo
Good: Fazio, Kane, Lamela
Fine: Mason, Bentaleb, Verts, Walker, Rose, Eriksen, Poch
Poor: Stambo, Soldado, Chadli
Fine ??!! Wow that's the sort of level you expect from a spurs side ?

After the first 20 minutes this game was screaming for an in-form Dembele to come on. And I mean the Dembele that can come in and boss the midfield and retain the ball.

Unfortunately that Dembele comes and goes and wasn't even on the bench tonight.
Dembele should definitely (at least) be on the bench for us. Certainly ahead of Paulinho. He's what you want in the middle if you're trying to see out a game. He'll slow play right down and keep the ball. The Paulinho sub was just not right, he's not going to go looking for the ball.

Ugly win today.

Lloris MOTM. Thank god for Eriksens goal.

Our central midfield was horrible today. As was Rose. He became worse and worse during the game. In the last 25 min he might aswell just gone off. Davies back asap.

But, delighted with the 3 points. Another away win.

Meh - We out scored Citeh @ Leicester this season. This was not our best game, conditions were not good, but we still came out on top. Time to move on to United - might be our biggest match of the season if we want to get into contention for a top-4 finish.

Not sure how a win against Manchester would play for Levy - does he assume we have enough in the squad, or does he sense an opportunity to strengthen for a 2nd half push for top-4?

Lloris was amazing again. He continually pulls us out of the muck.

Everyone was mediocre, but Bentaleb stood out to me as a big piece of poop.

I don't see what he brings to the table that Dembele doesn't. They are one in the same. I want the kid to succeed and agree he has potential, but he gets run over in the middle of the park and does nothing special with the ball.

It's sad when an attacking player like Lamela puts in more tackles than the player designated to do so.

Lloris - 8 - saved us a lot today
Walker - 5 - needs to do better, still coming back from injury though
Rose - 5.5 did well going forward a few times, looked poor defensively
Vertonghen - 7 - a few great tackles, a few errors but did well.
Fazio - 7.5 - His best performance for us. He is a big unit thats for sure

Bentaleb 5.5 - too sloppy today, is better than this
Stambouli - 5 - gave the ball away a lot

Lamela - 7 worked hard defensively and offensively. Decent shift.
Eriksen 7 - great goal, unlucky not to send Chadli in
Chadli 7 - Did well, Unlucky not to score

Kane - 7 - Well taken goal, and was always lively and working hard. Should of scored at least another though.

Subs

Mason 6 - helped speed up our play a bit, nothing exceptional.

All in all a strange game. For the first 30 mins we were very comfortable, too comfortable even. Our play was slow but every time we got forward we were dangerous. After that the game got very scrappy and Leicester got in our faces, part of me is glad that they equalized as this teams needs to learn to take the initiative when we are on the up.

All in all our biggest problem was disorganization defensively and an inability to get it quickly to our offensive 4, who I generally though were decent today, it is not their fault that the people behind them cant seem to effectively feed them the ball. Mason for me is a crucial player, because he brings urgency and direction. Maybe bringing Eriksen deeper is not a bad idea either.

Anyway I am glad we won, but my god some people on this site like to complain. Away games are always hard, furthermore Leicester are a better team than their results show. Leicester have beaten Man utd, drawn against Arsenal and given Man city a game at home. They have also only been beaten by more than 1 goal only once at home this season, against liverpool. And that was in part thanks to a early second half sending off.

We as fans seem to have a strange sense of entitlement, bizarrely enough so does our starting team. We make things more difficult for ourselves than we have to, but we won. This is a young team and they need to learn from games like these. But, I for one am glad we actually fight now. I am glad we can dig deep when we have to. Makes a change from the villas-boas days.

I'd argue that subbing on Paulinho isn't the right move in any circumstances.

Don't think the result will have any bearing at all on our January transfer dealings, TBH. Everything we've heard suggests that our January business almost entirely depends on how many players we can shift: I think if we manage to sell/loan a couple then we may see a signing or two come in, and if we can't move anybody on then we won't be seeing anyone arrive. Don't see the Man Utd game affecting that dynamic really.

Yep. Thought i'd seen the last of him in a Spurs shirt but somehow he's managed to get back into the squad. Offers absolutely nothing every time he's subbed on but it keeps happening.

Disagree - everyone on the squad could be sold - but not at a price Levy is willing to take. If Levy senses an opportunity to strengthen the squad, and significantly enhance our odds of a top-4 finish, he could sell for less than he otherwise would - with the assumption that the losses would be off-set with financial gain down the road. Of course there is no sure thing in this game - so it will take some risk-taking to pull it off (if we sell players at a loss).

The flip side is he may look at as Chelsea, and City are top-2, and ManUtd and Arsenal will strengthen in January - making top-4 very difficult, thus saving his money until the summer, to make a move for next season.

We're digressing from the Ratings thread so happy to discuss this elsewhere, but IMO the part in bold is very, very unlikely to happen; can't remember Levy ever selling a player for anything less than his private valuation in the past [David Bentley and Heurelho Gomes are surely living proof of this policy], so would be very surprised if the leopard changed its spots this year, win over Man Utd or not.

We weren't brilliant by any stretch of the imagination but a word for Leicester, made a real competitive game of it. They're battling for their premiership lives, didnt make it easy for us. Another test our young team has come through with 3 points. Ive seen a lot of talented Spurs sides surrender leads over the years, it nice to see this team are up for the fight.
