3 isn't it Jimmy . Dier Lamela and Alli . I understand we are now the dirtiest team in the league in terms of yellows .

We are the dirtiest team, but we are not dirty. I welcome all the cards, cause for every yellow we get we have won the ball maybe 5-10 times. We are all over our opposition all the time and that will cause som fouls along the way.

And the players getting suspension Could use the time off, and the players getting a chance to play (Mason, son, etc) knows They have to run like mad if They are going to retain their place...

Dembele is transformed. What a player. What an important player for us. A joy to watch. Takes a couple of opponents out of the game in one short burst, tackling and chasing the ball down, strength and ball retention unbelievable.

Think Sky gave Kane MOTM, BBC gave it to Alli, someone else to Eriksen. Shows how well we played when there are contenders all over the pitch for MOTM.

I think some reports almost gave Alli MOTM by default as he is the current sports media darling. It really wasn't one of his better performances.

Voted Walker over Dembele by a whisker. Thought Kyle had an immense game until the brain fart. A dominating RB performance. Dembele was so central to our control of MF and with Dier and Alli they form such a powerful unit. Dier had a solid game. Does not take a step back. I really loved the way Eriksen played though. I was frustrated with him last season and he looked out of sorts earlier this season. The lad is coming into form and was our most dangerous player. Lovely movement and those little flicks, his holding up the pass for seconds so that the opposition overrun the ball before he slips it to a team mate. Magical at times. Kudos to Son and Kane, Great attacking play and pressing from up front. Sold defence from the two Belgians.

Toby's goal is the sexiest goal I've seen this season. What a sucker punch and that leap was sublime. Kane did his part holding or keeping two of their defenders busy. Great stuff! You can see that was planned.

I like the distinction but like sharks we may get the taste for blood.
It's not a position (most yellows) I am comfortable with.
Ah those were the days when we won the fair play league.
We'll be crowding the ref, disputing everything, waving imaginary cards.
not letting the medical team on the pitch.
Let the football do the talking.
Feisty I like, but its a narrow line.

Dembele MOM, but, as many others have said, I was thoroughly impressed with the whole team.

Trying not to get too excited about the whole season, but things are looking good!

Dembele was my MOTM though I see that the paper reviews haven't picked up on his performance. Do they write the reviews beforehand?
Paper reviews are often written after they piss off just 10min into the game and not worth the paper its written on.
That's why the dreamteam ratings are so pathetic.

Or hunting like Hyena's as Redknapp described us post match lol.
Think he meant Wolves.
Although I was laughing my arse off as we tore them a new one.

Gave Dembele mom but close call. Could have gone to Son, Kane, Alderwierdibeardy, Walker, Dier, Alli, anyone really. I don't think anyone had a bad game.
Great team performance.
Play like that against Chelski and we'll murder them as well.

Think u have to watch it again. Walker goes to the ground and sakho intentionally is all over him with his knee and hands.

I think both our yellows was wrong: alli stood like a statue while noble was coming in his face - he then withdrew from the fight while noble was kicking up a fuss still with other players.

Same with Walker - sakho was twice as bad in that situation. I think refs are cowards in these situations...
I did watch it again didn't think he did. Hats off to the ref he was on both and carded both to show he wasn't having any of it. Will watch it again, the whole match actually, quite a few times I think

Actually, I think it was Noble who was targeted as "someone who can be provoked". Mason got an opponent sent off last term by doing much the same. Perhaps there was a glint in Alli's eye saying "go on, do something stupid". Not saying I like it, but it comes with the player's we've got.

I am saying I like it :D

Except he took the booking so that he would miss a bottom half of the table team! So intelligent.
Must admit that was the only blip on the game, Walker and Alli.
You're 3.0 up. You dont need to be getting drawn into a battle, that's what they want.
You've got to be a bit smarter than that.
Just smile, laugh, wink and wind them up.
Young players so they need to learn from it although I'd have thought it was fkin obvious. Apparently not.

I think that at 19 years old, a few weeks into your top-level career, in a derby game and confronted by a spitting-ugly old git trying to takes the legs off any Spurs player that comes near him, it may not, in the heat of the moment, be quite so obvious as it is to the rest of us.

He'll learn, as you say.

We are now starting to see the Dembele that played for Fulham, the reason we bought him. He's never really hit that form for us until now. Never forget him destroying ManU's midfield at Old Trafford when he was with Fulham.

I like the distinction between hyenas and wolves.
In common perception hyenas are cowardly creatures
feeding off other peoples kills.
Wolves however are noble creatures, loyal pack animals
killing their own prey usually much larger than themselvves
Yep we are definately wolves

It was a great team performance as others have said- but looking forward we have lamela to add to the mix and he's been fantastic over the last few months. Son returning and looking great, Dembele is turning into a beast, Dier and Alli nuff said on them by others. What a nice set of problems for Poch to have on choosing our teams over the next few weeks.

I agree with the general tone , bloody marvellous .

I'd just add an extra mark to Son (8) for his wonderful setting up Walker(8) for his goal . These little 18 inch passes , perfectly timed in a crowded area is wonderful control and super fast thinking . Son is an important part of our future I reckon .

...Oh and also I loved his feint that sent the entire defence off in the wrong direction and suddenly created himself space to shoot (the goalie saved , Alli headed onto the bar))

I thought Son was great yesterday

3 key passes, 3 tackles - we barely even noticed Lamela was missing which - before the wolves come out at me - is a testament to the squad that we have. We can be missing someone who we consider so hard working and vital and still put in an immense performance.

Agree with pretty much all of what's been written here. For me, one of the best things about yesterday was it was a statement performance on live TV. A lot of other PL players will have sat down to watch that after their Sunday lunch, and will have thought, "Ooh, I don't fancy going down to play at the Lane. They're pretty intense." Psychological stuff like matters. Small margins and all that.
