Sometimes you just need to dig deep and win
That's what we did today and a team effort for me
No one shone out, but also no one was poor either
Hugo- apart from the one shot that hit the post did everything needed
Sess and Royal both did OK
The 3 defenders had most things under control
Centre mid 2 were both OK
Son wasn't in it much today- unlucky not to score second half
Harry was ok and had a few interceptions while defending
Lucas did well in the time he was on the pitch but didn't have any end product
Subs NET
Conte managed to get the win

If Kane and Son had their shooting boots on he could have had a hat trick of assists. Sessegnon MotM but it was also a determined team effort. Was never going to be an easy game and in previous times we may have crumbled. Not this lot. Not under this manager.

Dier is so important to us now so I'm delighted the moaning myrtles didn't get their way at the start of the season.

Pope was probably the most impressive player but everyone on our team did well considering energy levels. Not sure who to vote for, maybe Sessegnon. Maybe Kane because of perfect high-pressure penalty plus great timewasting.

Nick Pope. We need to buy him this summer as he goes into the last year of his contract with Burnley. He is the best long term Hugo replacement we're gonna be able to get.

Nerve-wracking, but solid team performance following the efforts against Liverpool and Arsenal.

Over to Newcastle now to not get beat ?

I voted team effort. No one was outstanding, and no one was poor. Lloris dealt with crosses very well. Surprised Rodon did not come on much earlier, and felt a lot more comfortable once he was on. Overall I thought we were a team who were dead on our feet (2 days rest versus 8 days), plus we had no options to freshen up CM or WB, key positions for us to rotate in a better scenario. Hopefully neither Højbjerg or Bentancur are injured, and the players now get a couple of days video analysis and massage to recharge.

Hugo Lloris for that fantastic save one on one. If Burnley scored, we would have bottled the game.

Commentators as usual downplaying what was a world class reflex save. Woud have jizzed their pants if it was Degea or the new favourite son Allison

Sess did OK?

He was easily our MOTM.

Voted Sess for his relentlessness in addition to his quality and solidity. Thought he was head and shoulders above everyone out there. Emerson not too far behind. Hugo very good too with his anticipation and decisions. Pivot was great in their calming presence and passing, winning the second balls too and engaging in duels whenever possible.

Would like to add. Lucas was great too. The most dangerous and influential of the forwards by far. Was driving through Burnley’s deep block by himself at times with his running and determination.

I voted Hugo because in the end of the day today he was sure hands and keep it cool. But for sure Sess is getting better and better and again today

Sessegnon, but still passed sideways and backwards so many times when there was space in front of him. Shout out to Lucas who kept having a go and forced the issue much more than Kane or Son.

His distribution is one of the worse out of all the premier League keepers. No top team will sign him due to this.

He does play for Burnley mind.
Agreed and he is a good keeper but you can't make him into a keeper that is going to chip balls over people's heads or play through the press. He technically does not have the ability to do it.

His kicking is as bad as Hugo’s
