What's your take on the game and how are you feeling about pochettino ?
I was cautiously optimistic that Mourinho's tactical gamble would backfire. It was a very cagey affair, with neither side attacking in numbers. We were giving a decent account of ourselves until Terry scored. I had reservations about our starting line-up-I'd have had Dembele and possibly Lamela in there. Chadli and Townsend were very disappointing, as were our full-backs going forward. That quartet were poor and cost us the game.

Pochettino's strict adherence to his preferred system and his substitutions irritate but I like him. I had fallen out of love with the club after last season but the emergence of Harry Kane has changed that. I am especially proud of our fitness regime and lack of injury problems.

EDIT: his in-game management isn't up to scratch.

I think that's a pretty concise but good take on things.

That's how I saw it. I've always spoken out for Chadli, but he quite clearly hasn't got his form back after his bereavement, and is quite possibly lacking match fitness. Lamela, despite his detractors failing to see it because they are demanding Bale-esque performances from us week-in week-out, facilitates our midfield passing game, presses as required, tracks back quite well, and at least provides the occasional assist. Townsend did none of these things. Lamela has become a functional, of not as explosive as expected, member of the team. Playing Chadli and Townsend made it easier for Chelsea to concentrate on shutting Kane and Eriksen down, unfortunately. Dembélé, with Eriksen and Lamela wide, may have pressed them harder, occupied them more and, ultimately, created more than the side put out.

Pity Eriksen's free-kick didn't go in - then they would have had to have opened up more.
