If any of our four strikers were actually anticipating that our key passer might ever pass to them and thus want to move at any point, rather than shamefully stand on their heels and then chase after passes that had cut open the defence, more of Carroll's passes would have "come off". There was only one pass slightly overhit from the kid while he was on, and he moved so well to receive and keep the tempo. Definitely Man of the Match, which says it all when he was only on the pitch for 25 minutes.
If we sign a striker with a brain, I reckon Carroll would be one of the first names on our team sheet.
Since they've played togethr for ages and both been very successful, I'd suggest Carroll would combine well with Kane and Obika.
Oh sorry Kane's already been written off by most people here...
