That was not Sissoko.
He's been stolen by aliens
and replaced.
Gonna vote for him anyway
but just wondering
what their true purpose is.

LLoris 6

Aurier 6 - Okay. Some decent passing, though his crossing was poor. Some bits defensively I didn't like that if someone else did they'd be getting ridiculed by others.
Vertonghen 8 - Like he wasn't gone. Don't know how he didn't score the header though.
Alderweireld 8 - Vital block at the end. Looks more comfortable at RCB. Bonus point for giving Son a rollicking at the end.
Davies 7 - Good enough defending. Don't recall him doing much offensively...? Would have gotten in if Alli played a better pass.

Sissoko 8 - Another great game. Helps that he's no longer asked to play right back we have the ball.
Winks 6 - A mixed bag. Had some good moments, but still drifts in and out of games too much for my liking.

Lamela 5 - Got into good positions but was wasteful. Could've been sent off at the end of the 1st half
Alli 6 - Thought he played too slow most of the night and was imprecise at some key moments, but obviously made a crucial contribution. Other players might have shot instead.
Lucas 5 - Wasn't in the game. As I mentioned in the a different post, his movement is very poor. I mentioned it at the start of the season and it hasn't improved. It's not enough to be a good dribbler.

Kane 7 - Thought he was very good in the first half but not so much in the second. Still, he's looking back to his best.

Throwing a curve ball in here, but I though Davies was superb. Didn't put a foot wrong and made about 27,000 defensive headers. Aurier was solid again on the other side too.

At first it felt dirty and wrong giving Sissoko man of the match, I used to think what if ppl find out I voted for him will they treat me differently, but now it’s out in the open I feel relieve it’s not just me who’s start starting to vote for MS!

Lloris - 7: Nothing to do. Made a good save from (Perisic?) and his distribution was mostly good save for one nervy moment.

Aurier - 6.5: Little too eager to press high left space in behind him. But does look more dangerous going forward and is working hard. Probably first choice over Tripps for me.

Alderweireld - 8: Top quality performance, culminating in that last-minute block to deny Asamoah. Boy is class.

Vertonghen - 8.5: Slot straight back in. Aggressive, quick and has to start Sunday.

Davies - 7: Better performances of late. Passing is much better and he’s playing out from the back more astutely and confidently.

Winks - 7: Getting better and better as he regains fitness and form. Love him.

Sissoko - 8: Just has so much swagger of late. Using that engine of his to great effect and he made the goal with a fine burst of pace.

Lamela - 6: Lacked a bit of his usual quality and could have been sent off. Kept the press up and never let Inter rest.

Lucas - 6: See above

Alli - 7.5: Looked to be everywhere. Showed the necessary composure to set Eriksen up for the winner.

Kane - 7: That first-half performance was vintage Kane. Struggled a little to influence in the second, but that burst of pace will terrify Arsenal’s defence

Son - 6
Eriksen - 8
Dier - 6

Gave Sissoko my MOTM on instinct. But Vertonghen probably the one on reflection.

I think tonight showed moura and lamela are very much the understudies. Ok to play one in a game but both weakens us. But fine for rotation in the lesser games. But the Chelsea team plus vertoghen and maybe winks for Dier is very much the current A team.

I think he was booted which is a massive shame. Not least because I would LOVE to hear what he thinks about Sissoko’s current value to this team :ROFLMAO:

I just check. As he can no longer blame sissoko, he is busying in defending trippier (in the sissoko thread) and blaming dier

Take a trip over to The Fighting Cock, that's where he posts nowadays.

Here's the last thing he posted in their Sissoko thread though, 15 mins before today's match:

"Sissoko doesn’t have to make an overt fuck up to “cost us” something, having a player in our midfield that takes three touches to control the ball, treats the ball like a hot potato, continually passes behind or at people in a way that means they can’t take a ball in stride, passes the ball by numbers with no incision or wit, doesn’t read the game well at all - is costing us, it’s just much harder to quantify than when a defender gets done and we concede a goal. "

I thought aurier played really well tonight.

Went with Jan for MOTM as you wouldn't have known he was injured for several weeks with that performance, just slotted in perfectly and put on a great display.
