Thought kane was poor for the first time in a long time.

Usually when he's quiet it's because the players around him haven't helped him. But his control and passing were very poor today.

Serge MOTM. Glad Jose changed at HT. Play that game 10 times and we win 3 of them and draw 3 of them. Not bad against a team who have won 32 and drawn 1 of their last 33 home PL games. (unbeaten at home in 66 PL games).

What a shame. I dont know why, but firmino is up there with Nasri in terms of player that make me feel violent. So him scoring was like vinegar in an open wound.

Anyway, serge my motm. Had a world class player quiet most of the game.

A shame but let's not forget Liverpool are, as much as I hate it, outstanding even weakened with injuries.

I think young Bergwijn will take a beating here. But he did alright. Played his defensive role on the wing well, and made some.superb runs into the box, just lacked that cutting edge. Sadly.

Lucas was in ineffective mode.

Aurier pocketed Mane all game pretty much. Heart breaking to be undone by a set piece. Mourinho will be livid. Kane very poor today and was caught in no mans land for the corner.

Son was excellent. Scored a wonder goal and laid some great balls that could have been put away. He gets my vote as in a backs to the wall approach trying to attack is so hard

Totally agree re Lucas / dreadful cameo. Gave the ball away every time and was all over the place defensively.

Aurier was superb.

Have to be clinical against teams like that, just didn’t have that killer instinct today.

Hojbjerg was good.
Sissoko was poor out wide in the first half but effective in the second.
Kane was poor for once.
Lucas was a disgrace, and should be nowhere near the match-day squad once Lamela/Bale are available again.

Kane was wrestling to get free at a corner, with a split second to react once he‘d escaped. Bergwijn had plenty of time to compose himself.

Both big chances, either way.

I am torn between Serge and Hugo as both had great games. And while Serge made some significant errors early on, in the end, they didn't hurt us and what he did to Mane was outstanding. Serge it is

Serge's transformation is crazy. yes mane slipped him for the cross bar effort, but last season Mane is clear and having a free shot at goal....this season Serge is tighter than his jersey


feel like we are getting closer to better game management. 1st half pool dominated, but 2nd half I thought we were much better at balancing defense and attack.

and thoughts on Steven....not quite going his way but I believe there is a player there. Remember Son was hot and cold first 2 seasons.....
