I really liked what I saw from Gil. They way he controlled the ball from their corner, setting up the attack for our first goal was fantastic. He also pressed a lot and made himself available time and time again.
However, his decision-making in the final third was far from great. And he got physically bullied and suffered from getting little support from our midfield, which seemed to really get to him towards the end of the half.
I feel like Ange did the right thing taking him off for PEH, but I also feel Gil would have had a great game against almost any other team than City (with Walker and sometimes Rodri against him).
