I don't think the stats are pointless, struggling to get on the ball for Swansea should set alarm bells ringing and its been replicated here... He faffs around finding it difficult to get involved the majority of the time and he's easily marked/crowded out of a game especially when played centrally, occasionally getting in the box to get goals which is creditable but no different to others in the league (see Keving Nolan for example). His one good thing is his technique which sometimes means he can go on a run of banging in some long shots (as at Swansea), when he doesn't though he contributes virtually nothing. So yes, anonymous displays.

He is a physically weak, mentally weak, slow, pretty useless insipid fuckwit. This was obvious from September 2012 unfortunately. For a manager to ever say he was above VDV in the pecking order is fucking insane.

I disagree entirely with everything you have written.

Swansea would be a lot better team with Siggy in it right now that is for sure.

Is there really an argument here on whether Siggy was a better option than Rafael Van der Vaart?

That has actually not been argued by anybody in this thread.

Ignore the Care Bear, he talks nonsense.

People suggested that their was no justification in either selling VDV, or buying Siggy.

I argued their was a case for both, even if they haven't worked out in hindsight.

If you had only posted that you would have got it, as it would have added nothing to the thread/discussion.

I do not for one second think Siggy should start for us, but he is a far better player than you and the majority give him credit for.
