Was not really a game of individual performances, so no one really stuck out.

Friedel 6.5 - made a great save first half

Walker 6.5 - MOTM for me it was his best performance in a spurs shirt, was a bit shaky early on, but after that really impressed me, both in offense and defense.

King 5.5- I love the guy and had a good second half, but made a lot of mistakes in the first half, and struggled in the air. Lucky we did not conceded after a mistake which let Hunt in. Grew into the game however, and ignoring a couple of bad moments of distribution was back to his old self in the second half. His on field influence is also vitaly important.

Kaboul 6.5- like King started slowly, thought he was imperious in the second half however.

BAE 6- hot and cold today, made a lot of errors, which could of been costly, but had some wonderful moments thought the game

Krancjar 5.5- had a terrible first half, where he was a non entity and was sloppy at times (like the whole team actually). Grew into the game however, and was involved with all the goals.

Parker 6.5- Worked his socks off, and made a couple of great tackles and passes all game. Needs to cut out the errors though, and often over did things

Modric 6.5- tidy in the first half, and then grew into the game as it went on, played deeper then usual, but did his job to good effect.

Bale 6 - almost went right for him on a couple of occasions, his crossing was mixed, on one side almost putting Ade on for an easy tap in, not the other putting a cross well into the stands.

Defoe 6.5- had a very good game, scored and moved the ball well, don't think he made a bad decision all game. Did drift in and out a bit though

Adebayor 6.5- clearly a class above the strikers we are used to, did often over complicate things, and his touch let him down on occasions, but really hastes and harried, often helping develop play from deep.

Subs

Livermore 6- not enough time but fitted in seamlessly did quite well

Gio 5.5- again no time, but when he did get the ball it was wasteful and poorly executed.
You're hard to please. Eek

Friedel 7 - Did what he had to do and the defence looked a lot more organised and calm.

Walker 7 - Good going forward and recovered well a few times to get in between his man and the ball.

King 5.5 - A poor show by his standards. Was our weak link in defence today.

Kaboul 6.5 - Good solid performance, didn't have too much to do other than cover Ledley a couple of times.

BAE 7.5 - Very solid performance, which is now his usual game.

Krancjar 6 - In and out of the game a lot.

Parker 8 - Pressed high up and won quite a few of interceptions and drove us on from midfield.

Modric 7 - Getting back to his old self.

Bale 5 - Poor on the right. Needs to get back to the left or dare I say it, even given a spell on the bench.

Defoe 7 - Took his goal well and started linking with Ade pretty well. Killed the game off with a neat finish.

Adebayor 7.5 - Good debut performance and goal, although appeared a bit laboured and heavy footed at times. Will get even better!

Livermore 6 - Didn't have much to do.

Gio 6.5 - Played well in tight spots and did a couple of fancy flicks in the few minutes he played. Kept the ball well.

Well played Parker and Adebayor. They didn't look at all like debutants

But my word what a good footballer BAE is. Most underrated left back in the league. Speed, a very high level of technique and a great engine.

COYS' Gio remark raised a smile, I guess I shouldn't expect anything else.

hmm I think Go will have a good season this if he gets his head down, and in fairness the rating should not be taken seriously, he had no time to get into the game.

My ratings tend to be lower then how most people do it. 7 is a good score from me, 6 is a player who has an average game, anything lower is poor. 6.5 is above average/good 7 is good/very good while anything higher means they had a had a brilliant game

Friedel had an amazing save around the 13 min mark. I think he deserves more than the 6s people are giving him.

I can't be fucked with ratings but some of you didn't watch the game if your giving Defoe a 5. I actually thought he was one of our best players. IMO he played better than Ade, who also played well, but has a tendency to not chase 50/50 balls, which pisses me off. I'll put that down to fitness.

For REAL??????????????????????????????????????????

The notion that Defoe had a better game than Adebayor is plain wrong (at least as far as I could tell from a stream that kept breaking down), but a 5 is even sillier. That sounds like a 'Here's one I made before' from Ashcroft.

I got a 5 out of 10 after 5 a side last week. I scored 2, but conceded 5 whilst in goal.

Still think that Modric is a class apart even when he's just ticking over.
my MOM but only on 7.5.
Adebayor is a very good player, not match fit yet but will make a big difference to our season. 6.5
Defoe had a good game 6
Ekotto and Walker gave us plenty of threat down the flanks. 6.5
Dogged rather than a good team performance.
Parker limited but does what he can do quite well. Good toe poke to set up Adebayor. 6.5
Kranjcar showed some sparks vital for Defoe's goal 6
Bale some very bad decisions 5
King, welcome back 7
Kaboul looked uncertain at times 6
Friedel competent, one very good save early on 6.5

Parker is not limited, his biggest problem is he is a jack of all trades master of none, he can do everything, just there are better players at everything he does.

By Premier League standards he's a complete central midfielder....ticks all the boxes 7 out of ten.

Will be an excellent signing.

I haven't seen a whole 90 mins so can't do proper ratings, but there are plenty of positives to take out of this game.

Kaboul showed some excellent touches, nipping in with a tackle and then strutting out with the ball, it breaks my heart that next week if Dawson's fit I know Redknapp will drop Kaboul for the dopey one.

We seemed to defend better as a team in spells and although didn't dominate the whole game, what was really pleasing was that from the time we scored instead of shrinking and sitting deep, we then kept the ball better than at any other time in the game and barely gave Wolves a sniff back into it.

Kranjcar can be a bit lightweight at times but technically such a good footballer, with intelligence of movement and passing. On a good day, played as a wide midfielder, he's every bit as useful as Bale or Lennon on a normal/ho hum day. 51 passes from 63 and an assist is a very good contribution - contrast with Bale's 31 from 40. I'm not rubbishing Bale, but it's really nice to have the contrast creatively. Bale's more raw, instinctive direct, Kranjcar offers more team play and intelligence. He's such a great option to have in the squad, it was a travesty he wasn't used more last year.

And again it worries me that if Lennon is fit he wouldn't get a look in.

The same also goes for Defoe. He took his goal well, and his 19 passes from 22 is double his normal contribution but his lack of intelligence just lets him down. Several times he had the ball in good areas and just didn't get his head up and make the right pass.

Redknapp's "it looks like it could be a good partnership" worried me greatly.

Adebayor clearly isn't in peak match shape yet, but 40 passes from 45 is possibly the best return from a striker of ours away from home that I can remember in the last couple of seasons, and the composure he showed at times was what we have been crying out for, including the coolness with with he took his goal.

I think we now have the best squad we have had in recent times. What worries me is that injuries seem to be our only hope of the right selection choices being made sometimes with Redknapp.

I sat up a bit when I heard that but pretty certain VDV off Ade is what we will see.... unless Harry intends to go with VDV on the right in a 4-4-2 with Walker providing the thrust and width from RB, certainly hope not though.

Good post though, totally agree.

Harry 9/10 ,

We are lucky to have such a talented manager .

He is going to take us to the stars so long as he ignores the criticism on here .

League title contenders this year .
