Blimey.

We would have destroyed them with Ronaldinho and Eto'o!

Well I'm glad the boys proved me wrong. Much better effort from everyone today. Defence looked relatively solid, JJ and Steed were excellent, Keane absolutely pulled the strings in the first half and Benty played very well.

Add to that a bit of super RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRadek and we can't complain really. Could well have sent the Berkshire boys down aswell which is always funny.

We played half ass and won rather easily, should have scored more and damn do we play pretty football at times. That and we played the game with 4 CMs starting and no Berbatov who everyone thought was our driving force, which he probably is, but we were still very creative without him.

Incidentally it was interesting watching us play the majority of the game with Bent up top and Keano behind him. Seemed to work very well and stretched Reading alot giving JJ and Steed more space to roam around in. We don't get that as much with Berba and Keane as they both tend to want to drop deep.

Wigan should be safe now and we should hold on to our slot.

That's next season sorted then. Taraabt can fill the Keane position as sub or through injury. We just need a back up striker.

i have been saying this for ages, although i probably did aim at Keane and not Berbatov as well....

Its just a shame we couldn't kill the game off today. Had the chances, and one wrongly chalked off, but we dont do things the easy way do we.

Yeah Reading in deep dippy do what with Fulham beating Brum.[/quote
you have to fancy Reading's chances of beating Derby though, so its on Fulham to get a result off Pompey

Very tight, although with the cup final on Pompey's mind who would back against it

i agree but reading were very very poor, they didnt even try to close us down in the first half!!

i thought gilberto had a nice solid game 2day.

also couldnt believe we didnt score more in the first half, could have been at least 4-0 up!

I'm pretty sure Fulham will do Pompey, they were apparently woeful v Boro today and have more than one eye on the cup final.

That was such a great performance, especially in the first half. Really was a joy to watch. Cerny, Hutton, Gilly, Woody, Daws, Zokora, Jenas, Steed, Keano and Bent all had cracking games, and the others (Hudd :)) weren't bad at all.

Really great to see us playing as a team, both defensively and offensively. It was also nice to see that we can do it without replying completely on Berbatov pulling something out of the hat to get us a goal.

Sam Lyon of BBC Sports said:
It was as close as Reading got in the end, Tottenham's first clean sheet in nearly two months and only their third away win all season ensuring the Royals must endure the final day of the campaign relying on other results to go their way.

We sound so crap in plain text format at times
