The third and fourth goals actually spoiled what was otherwise a really enthralling game of football and worthy Champions Legue final.

So glad Gareth got the second key goal which could have been the winner had Atletico not spontaneously combusted. Besides that he actually struggled to find his rhythm all night.

But Atletico didn't deserve to lose like that and this defeat will scar them as much as the league win will give them cheer. An ironically bittersweet season ending.

As for C-Ron, well, god him a lot of gifts except charm unfortunately. I'm sure Irina hangs off his every word...

Bit left field but what's Simeone's plan for next season? We keep talking about Ancellotti but has DL got another card up his sleeve....

I wouldn't be suprised if Simeone had enough; The Spanish league TV revenue is a pile of shit and he won't be able to top his achievements.

He could leave and retire as Atletico's greatest ever manager.

I would love El Diego as our manager; I can see him punching Levy in a board meeting though. :ROFLMAO:

He knows he has got more work to do

I think the plan is to try and keep Koke at all costs tbh and then add two very talented players in Saul and Torres.

Then whoever they get for striker i.e. soldado, Lukaku and Remy it looks like at the moment

Why are people defending Simeone? If Mourinho did something like that everyone would be up in arms.

Spanish journalists just clapped Diego Simeone into press conference. Even the winner, Carlo Ancelotti, did not get that.

Good to see the Spanish journalists know their shit; If Simeone had the money Madrid spent then the final would have been 6 or 7 nil to Atletico quite easily.

That was a terrible final. The Championship Playoff earlier was better football and more entertaining.

The irony of Ronaldo showing everyone his muscles after he scored the penalty. Funny how they don't work when you want a penalty for that Champions League final goal :p

Mourinho is much more ****ish and calculating than Simeone.

Simeone seemed pretty calculating when he confronted the ref before extra time for the injury time he'd allowed on.

Personally, I think they're from the same stock. Win st all costs, using any tools at your disposal, including time wasting, hacking down opponents, stifle the game. It's why they are such great managers.

Mourinho is just better at it.

No way is Mourinho better than Simeone, There's no way in hell that Mourinho would have won the Spanish league title this season with Atletico.

and did you miss the Semi-Final at Stamford Bridge?

Compare the medals. Get off the bandwagon.

Compare the medals. Get off the bandwagon.

Age
Mourinho - 51
Simeone - 44

and Simeone hasn't worked with any money yet in his career; If he was given a blank cheque book like Mourinho has then he would be winning everything.
