SSN just confirmed one of their presenters has just got off the phone with Redknapp and he has confirmed that he will be the new Spurs Manager.

In that case it really tells us something on how trustworthy Twitchy is.....

What a complete arse. Must be popular at Pompey.....even though i can't understand why they like him in the first place.

i might be one of few but i am SO EFFING HAPPY!!!! :-D :-D

this man is born for relegation fights, and is the first manager we have taken from a premiership club in yonks.

the last were george graham who was awesome for us and hated for his history, and hoddle.

Redknapp will jump at the chance to coach Spurs. He's made comments in the past of his desire to manage the club on a number of occasions.

I'm still digesting the Ramos sacking, and, to be honest, I'm not sure about Redknapp. All I know is that Levy is a ****.

looks like Levy prepare himself to the championship by appointment of a manager who fought for relegation twice in 2 seasons, and relegated one.

I know desperate times call for desperate measures and all that, but surely we can try and bring in someone who'll keep us up AND take us forward...
Relegation would kill us and out of the managers who've kept teams up Redknapp certainly comes to mind as the Prem expereinced manager who's best at it. I don't think that can be ignored.....and Pompey's slow ascent can't be ignored either...

My ideal scenario would be to see us playing a solid side again and then bringing in a world beater once we get back into the top half.

He's a bent one eyed thief!
As with every manager that has been appointed by the board of directors, I will support him, in everything he does. We all want results, we have not been getting them, we have become the laughing stock of English football.

rednapp knows good footballers, he has employed Yakubu, Carrick, Defoe and Kanoute, not to mention many others (Joe Cole)....

My last word is, he has not accepted the job, we are bottom, 2 points, adrift.... Portsmouth are doing well, mid to high league.... why should he leave them to join us.... we will see

Well I can see opinions are split already. I hope Redknapp doesnt have a bad spell or the knives will be out pretty quick.

So half are happy due to experience and a decent track record.

The other half think he'd nick your wallet.
