What a brilliant goalkeeper. Worth every penny.

Some may think Im exagerating, but he really is a top class keeper, definetly in the upper tier of those in world football today.

I knew he was class, and the game vs chelsea at SB showcased what he is all about. Great save from fat franks cheeky chip, and then a masterclass in catching the ball from crosses and demanding your penalty area. That performance was more then enough to suggest to me we had someone special in goal.

His lack of form in the games after was just a blip, and I was only concerned that the lunatic fans and media would brainwash Redknapp and others that we really need to replace him. Some are still talking about a new keeper now, its f'ing ridicoulos to even suggest that.

Given the correct backing, he will be a legend at WHL...but I fear his next mistake or run of poor games will erase the memory of spurs fans who know what Gomes is capable of. They will again think he is just another Robbo and it will culminate in much of the BS we have seen written about him in the past...

You know, the sort of attidude to say "Hey drogba, get the **** outta my area", next thing you know he is clutching the ball out of the air.

As in, its his area...no-one is welcome....not even Corluka :razz:

with gomes you have to remember form is temporary but class is permanent

Did anyone see the love he got at the Burnley game? It was brilliant. The guy needs to learn English a bit better though... We were singing "Gomes, Whats the score?" and he just turned and kinda punched the air. Made me chuckle anyway.

I have always been a Gomes backer. What a character, what a keeper. Bound to be a WHL legend if he continues in his recent vein of form.
