So being a Spurs fan, and an at times slightly unhinged Spurs fan, has just cost be £15.

Why you ask?

Well I'll tell you...because that was the point in this thread in the first place.

I've just been out buying some new trainers (in my efforts to get fit for the World Cup), and there were two pairs available. Both were basically exactly the same. The same make, the same style and both definitely had the qualities required to cover my feet whilst running.

One set was £86 and the other was £71. So which pair did I buy? That's right the £86 trainers.

And the reason? Because the £86 trainers were black and the £71 trainers were, you've guessed it, red.

Clearly I take my never red policy very strongly but I didn't think it would contradict my strict penny-pincher policy. Unfortunately it appears that I am that ridiculous a Spurs fan.

So what have you done in the name of Spurs that you look upon slightly shame-facedly? How low have you gone?

I put my annual £5 bet on Spurs to win the league. Its more like a ritual now.

The odds are getting shorter, but the likelihood of us winning it hasn't really changed.

Yeah visiting this page at work about 30 times a day waiting for some ridicoulos ITK which rarely is something earth shattering.

Still argue to the family of my girlfriend I can not come to celebrate sth or go out for dinner when Spurs are playing.I prefer watching 90 minutes on a miserable stream with often eye-cancer-football.

Paying about 200-300 bucks three-four times a season to get over to London to watch the spurs live without regular income.

So, obviously, worth every penny and second.

Flying 6,000 miles each way, about four times a season to watch Spurs play. Getting up at 0400 to watch evening games on a dodgy stream.

Punching my leg silly when we lose or concede a goal... Doesn't hurt at the time because of pure anger and adrenaline but leg is usually dead for a couple of hours after

If you're spending that much on trainers, an extra 15 quid is no big deal.

Isnt there a bloke outside the lane that sells them?
If you mean the one opposite the toilets on the other side of the road I haven't seen him for a while on my infrequent visits there, he only sold normal home and away ones and grossly overpriced as well.
