died this morning, very sad
RIP sad news indeed.
I was at the Lane when he broke his leg. It was so quite at the time I could hear it happen.
Can't remember the game but if I remember correctly I was up on the shelf near the Paxton Road end and he was in the penalty area by the North Stand.
Strange, but perhaps it's one of my senior moments (!) but I don't recall him breaking his leg. Dave Mackay (twice), Terry Medwin and Maurice Norman did in the 60s.
Still about seven or eight left with us, Maurice Norman the other high profile one. Terry's Medwin and Dyson, Frank Saul, Les Allen, Terry Marchi. Not many of the double side left now - Cliff Jones is still around and still amazingly spritely is he the last one?

Yes, still with us, Tony Marchi not Terry btw.
See this official site article and Terry is one of the contributors

Your turn for the senior moment
? - I knew Tony Marchi, even babysat for him. Not sure who you are referring to.
