oh god, please no, this guy is a bigger traitor than Berbatov in my opinion. If he didn't leave us when we needed him the most, we wouldn't be in this position. I am delighted he isn't playing regularly at Liverpool and i hope he flops big time their.

edit: in response to: "look at all the goals he scored for us over the years". Well he got paid a lot of money to do it.

Come home robbie??? Are you serious?? He's at his home now after securing his dream move to the club he supported as a boy. I don't want him back nor do we need him, i don't care how much arm waving he does. He can't play up top on his own, can't play up top with Defoe, and him and Pav would make the weakest and slowest cf pairing in the prem. NO THANKS

Says it all for me.

If we hadn't resigned Defoe, then I'd be prepared to take Robbie back (with a salary cut from his crazy scouse wages). But Defoe is now our small goalscoring striker.

We need a linking striker, who can play with his back to goal & compete in the air, and that - unfortunately - isn't Robbie.

They dont even need a replacement really. They have Torres, Kuyt, Babel and Ngog. And they're happy to play one up front at times too with Gerrard playing behind Torres.

i heard Babels substituition got a cheer from the fans and not cos he had a good game! Maybe he would be worth a punt? right footed but quite comfortable on the left? Only regarded a flop because that idiot Rafa never gives anyone a run in the team, or in the right position!

HMM well yeah rafa loves his 1 up top but I think its a wait n see on Torres injury-wise so Im sure they'd want another body in to make up the numbers, especially with some 2 youth strikers going out on loan tday too

Would take him back in a shot, but do agree with a previous post regarding JD's face if he were to saunter on the training pitch, would be priceless

Harry hails 'fantastic' Keane

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits he would be a 'liar' if he said he would not like to see Robbie Keane return to White Hart Lane.
The £20million Liverpool striker has flopped at Anfield since swapping North London for Merseyside in the summer and rumour is rife that he could be sold in January.
Keane was left out of Rafa Benitez's squad for Sunday's FA Cup draw with Everton, increasing speculation that the Reds boss is ready to cut his loses.
The Republic of Ireland international has been strongly linked with a move back to Tottenham, who are also chasing Sunderland's Kenwyne Jones, and Spurs boss Redknapp admits he would be interested if Keane was for sale.
"I wouldn't sit here and say I wouldn't like to have Robbie Keane at my football club, I'd be a liar, but he belongs to Liverpool so it is not an option unfortunately," Redknapp said.
"As a player and a person I have a lot of time for Robbie Keane. I think he's fantastic."

Whilst there is only one Keano, we have got Defoe back, and I didn't see the point in signing Defoe when we had Keano, and now can't see the point of signing Keano when we have Defoe.

Can we get a left winger?

Thanks for all the goals Keano.

playing them will mean no target man. and the only side i've seen do that is Man Utd when they played Rooney and Tevez.

But ffs they are the world champions etc and Ronaldo was scoring for laughs

it makes your attack way too one dimensional. I specifically remember every single time we played Defoe and Keane i was a total flop, we could only play through the middle and on the ground and the oppo snuffed this out easily by stopping balls into the feet of Defoe and Keane

Keano! There's only one Keano! There's only one Keano! There's only one Keano!

Better than Defoe in every way possible. Nuff said.

P.S. - Can we have Berba back as well please?

No thanks......you can stay at your beloved Liverpool. You were a legend at Spurs once Robbie, but youve moved on and so have we.
