I don't see why you have to be a World Cup Winner to be the greatest player of all time. You're saying if he wins player of the season every season now until he retires, but doesn't win a World Cup because the rest of his team isn't good enough, that doesn't make him the greatest player of all time?

Why would they win if he was the greatest player ever? They're more likely to with him than without him, but it is a team game after all.

No offence mate, but Portugal played in the semis in Euro 2000 and final in 2004.Semi-final in 2006 World Cup.And they're probably gonna play another semi this year.Can't remember the last time Spain reached this stage.:grin:
