Well, my fav player for the last 6 years has left...and I'm totally gutted.

All the best at Liverpool Keano, I've got a feeling you're going to be an absolute star, quality always shines through.

Was, is and always be a Spurs boy, can't wait to see you at the lane this season and give you a warm welcome (plus Spurs will win)

There's only one Keano, there's only one Keano, there's only one Keano, KEANO!!!!

Well im gutted, probably the last time i was this dissapointed was when Klinsmann left. BUT we always get over it and with Ramos and the new boys i saw last night, im confident we will be successful.

Whether he's gone for the money, the CL football or the fact it was his boyhood club I wish him all the best. He gave 6 years to our club and looked like he enjoyed most of it. I certainly enjoyed watching him when I got the chance.

Alll the best Robbie.

It may help to look at it this way.

We just turned the tables on the Scousers; they thought they were stealing something from us but actually we robbed them because
no way was Keane worth that much.

We can be content that we had his best years.

I Believe you can go even further than that, and say that the club secretly wanted this transfer to happen, i feel that we will only play one up front this season with a fluid midfield, and it was reported several months ago (by some ITK's) that Ramos was not overly impressed with Keane, and did not feel he could take Spurs into the Champs league.

SO what better way to do it than make it look against our will and get well over the odds in the process

that's the way i see it anywho...

I'm with Cosmic & The Shiz on this, as conspiracy theories go, Levy has pulled in a nice £19 mill earner and gone about it in a way that leaves himself smelling of roses.

In fact come to think of it, Paul Kelmsley fell on the sword to enable the Jol/Ramos
switch.

Im sorry to see Keane go and feel disapointed he handed in a transefr request but I wish him well cos he gave us 6 good years.

All we need now is irony to play its part and we get CL football & the scousers dont.

That apart no one can argue £19-20Mil isnt excellent business cos lets be honest he is not worth that.

Is there actually anyone who doesn't think we've pulled off quite a coup in getting a whopping £19m+£1.3m for Keane?

Time will tell. The same was said when we got the Carrick money. All depends on how it's spent.

Just one of the many hilarious posts on www.redandwhitekop.com

Cant say i have been as euphoric as some regarding Keane, seemed a lot of money to me.

But its far form true that he is past his peak playing wise in fact what we have paid top dollar for is his 2-3 peak years, the downside is that we stand little chance of recouping much of that..

The plus side of this it is as clear a statement about our intentions for the immediate future as you could hope for. We have bought a player to enable LFC to win the prem or CL in the coming season or the one after, no longer term plan than that.

Of course its no guarantee of success but it shows at least in this respect the club is after the same thing we are, to watch us succeed today not some far off scheme for domination in 4-5 years time.

Even Lawrenson is at it, putting his knife into his own club:

'He'll go on a run and get 10 in 10 but then that's half his average season's tally gone in one go.'

:duh:

Time will tell alright.

Man United were struggling to compete for the Premier League and Spurs were knocking on the Champions league door before Spurs took Man United's money.

After that Spurs declined and Man United went onto win two Premier league titles.

Liverpool appear to be putting the Premier League title ahead of money and obviously expect Keane to help them defeat the oterh top four clubs on their way to challenging for the title.

Time will tell if Ramos or Benitez was right, or both right or both wrong for that matter.

What we spend the money on has got nothing to do with it.

The point is we have sold a player for a sum of money that he is nowhere near worth.

I'm chuffed to bits today, no more arm waving theatrics from a complete fucking wimp who we have got an obscene amount of money for.

Its a shame to see Robbie leave, but it was for a good price (for us) and Ramos should be able to bring in a top quality striker with the money he has....

I would be happy next season with Berbatov, Pekhart and Milito or Villa

P.S: My inactiveness has been due to me being on holiday!

Nah, not when you consider the prices british shite players go for. Then we should have had at least £25-28m for Keane.
