I would imagine he changed clothes after leaving Heathrow, considering he'd been on a flight for 7 odd hours. Then he will change again into some sports stuff for his medical. Then he will change for the final time in his life into white and navy blue polyester.

Its great to see him smiling a lot. I think he's relishing this move. Looks like a jolly nice chap. Complete contrast to Dimitar Berbatov.

Stop slating berbatov, he was a great player in his two years at spurs, and I for one would never Boo him or criticize the lad. He wants to move onto bigger and better things and look back in his career and say he played for manchester united (and hopefully for him, won major trophies).

Face the facts, Man Utd are bigger and better then spurs, and he wants to leave for them, I have no problem with that.

We have now hopefully bought Pavlyuchenko, so lets get over Berbatov and get behind this guy 200% when he puts on his spurs shirt!

:eek:mg:

You're kidding............right?

Agreed he has been good for us, but his behaviour has been terrible, like a kid who's been told no!!!

I'm happy to boo him regardless of what he did as a player in the past. I don't like players sulking and forcing my clubs hand to sell him and if they don't he will stomp his feet and sulk until it does..............Baby!

I think thats the righ attitude. We dont actually know how he has trained and he has been amazing for 2 ears for us. If he wants to go fair enough. an you honestly blame him? Look at Carrick for example. I cant wait to sign Pav and to give him support we gave Berba for two seasons. As for Berba. Good luck and thanks for the good times. And the 28 million

the argument that we shouldnt feel bad about him wanting to move on to bigger things disintegrated as soon as he wasnt in the right mentality to play on the weekend...

It then went from being an off field issue to something directly affecting the team, we were left playing with a single striker as he sat at home... Frankly thats unacceptable when your paid the money he is so he lost all respect from me and many others there and then....

Any news on when Pav should sign on the dotted line as we really need him?

Boo him based on what...?

What you have read in the papers..
What ramos said about him "not being in the right frame of mind"
Based on the fact ramos has not picked him to start vs boro or sunderland and as a result you think its him being stroppy..

Sorry but its all guesswork, apart from the small amount you see him throwing his arms in the air on the pitch once in the last few weeks, what else are you judging him on........SPECULATION!

People need to remember football players are just normal individuals, and although they get paid a lot, they are HUMAN just like us, think about what you would do in his position. Its not that he is unhappy at spurs, its that he wants to move to united, and he has set himself up for that transfer, and the thought that it might not happen began to unsettle him that he would not be finishing his career at a club in which he thought his ability was best matched for.

In my opinion.............he has stropped and sulked his way to what he wants. I know he's a stroppy player, I get that but what I don't get is how a player can not be "mentally" ready but he was two days earlier. Everyone has reported about his attitude recently. People have quoted the manager as saying it. Is everyone lying?? If so why haven't they quashed all the talk??

You make him out to be a sob story!! There are lots of players that have been in his situation but have remained quiet. He's acted terrible IN MY OPINION

How has he acted terrible though, what factual knowledge are you basing it on, he has not come out and given an interview (unlike gareth barry) EVER saying he has wanted out of the club.

Your basing it on what you hear in the media and how he acted on the pitch for the 20 minutes he played vs boro?...

i think both of the above views are two opposite extremes of the probable truth, which usually lies in the middle.

  • it's highly likely berbs wants to move and highly likely that he's not best pleased by the fact that he hasn't been allowed to, yet

  • it's also highly likely that his agent has been doing his job (pretty well for an agent) in trying to angle him a move (and a significant percentage of transfers fees for himself) by leaking stories to the press

  • additionally manure are also likely to have tapped him up (evidence or not) and have also manipulated the press through leaks and player interviews into stirring up the story and unsettling berbs

  • finally there's no doubt that JR and GP have been mighty pissed off with Berbs as I'm sure they'd have loved to have selected him if they could have - pissed off either with Berbs himself for his lack of focus or the board if it was them who told them not to pick Berbs in case of a potential transfer - and have vented this frustration in the BBC interview
So whilst booing him may be harsh (i shan't be if he plays as it won't help spurs get a result), i can understand why some fans will based on which point they feel most aggrieved by

Trying to paint Berbs as the only villain is ridiculous
Trying to paint him as a poor bystander whilst everyone around him 'makes up vicious lies about his wish to move' is equally ridiculous and both views are somewhat naive.

This is Saturday already and why the hell has he still not yet signed? I'm starting to get nervous. It's now pretty obvious that he will play no part against Chelscum when we will surely badly need him.
