I just don't understand it at all. When he first got put at LB by Redknapp he looked solid towards the end of that season. He even went to Anfield and was solid as a rock, almost a MOTM performance. He looked very good at Sunderland as well

Fastforward a year he looks dogshite. I don't' think I've ever seen him at LB. I don't think I've seen him cross a ball well, tackle well, or do anything really useful

People often say we have a superior team then years ago, but our fullbacks are nowhere as good as what we had.

A promising start to his career. I don't think he was managed that well and always struggled treated as an afterthought behind Benny. The fans never really gave him a chance, and the reaction to the sending off was completely OTT. Went to Sunderland and was fantastic, came on leaps and bounds. Returned here and even though he was first choice he still started regressing.

Definitely filed in the "Unfulfilled Potential" folder. I'd doubt we'd ever be able to develop him properly and probably should sell. In a different dimension he'd be a decent winger for us - fast and attacking. Not would class but certainly do the job.

He's a bit of a poor footballer really. He wasn't good enough as a winger so he got pegged back into a defensive role. Not really great at that either. Just seems to get by on athletic ability as he's quick and agile.
