What's the chance of getting it rescinded, do people think? It appeared to be a legitimate challenge, so surely worth appealing?

I think it's worth an appeal...it's a 3 game ban (i think) so he'll miss Hull, Everton and Newcastle. If an appeal fails, he gets an extra game ban which will be Norwich away...

Maybe worth a go otherwise back to that tiring LB problem again (for 3 games at least)

We've been shafted once by the original bad decision, a 3 game ban would be the icing on the cake. Has to be rescinded.

Not 3 but only 1 match ban for an infringement of denying a goal scoring opportunity. So I think that it's not worth appealing - it will be somewhat frivolous -

I don't agree with putting pressure on officials but I can't believe the crowd, players and manager didn't give him more stick after the decision. Like it or lump it but getting on the ref's back may have made him try and level things up.

Other teams do it and it pays off, seems to me like we always give officials an easy ride.

I thought a 3 game ban was only if the red was for violent conduct? Am I wrong?

It's one game and it will be overturned.

Anything other than that and the world is truly against us.

I thought Sherwood mightve shown a bit more fight in the press conference after the game?

We're the nice guys aren't we!

Officials are never under pressure at the Lane.

We always seem to adopt the moral high ground, which invariably get's us nowhere in the end.

We're like a tragic, pubescent teenager who tries to impress girls by holding doors open and acting in a gentlemanly manner. Inevitably the more dangerous, forthright, better looking, cool kid strides in and takes the girl.

You only get an extra match if the appeal is deemed frivolous. Surely given the media coverage, this doesn't even fall close to that category.

The problem is that in real-time it looked like a bad tackle - he scissored his legs from behind and looked very much like he caught Dzeko - so it's not surprising that the officials gave it as a penalty. Only with the benefit of that particular angle at slow-motion, can we see that it was a good tackle.

I know it's easy to say as a spectator, but I thought it was a pretty risky tackle, so maybe he should have stayed on his feet and accepted the probable goal - at least then we'd have had a chance with ten men still on the field.
