I would love to see Danny Rose given a chance in the first team before the end of the season. I very much doubt it'd happen, but why not? O'Hara's done well when nobody gave him a hope and Rose possibly has more ability than him, so I think it would be a shrewd move to put him in and see what he can do on that left-side, which is still a problem. Ramos will probably wait until pre-season to give him a go though, unfortunately.

The two situations are not comparable. Jamie O'Hara went out on loan spells to Chesterfield and Millwall before he made his debut. The gap between reserves and Premier League is huge and not many teenagers make it in one go.

I would prefer the patient approach that worked with O'Hara than rushing Rose into the first team too early.

Don't see Rose playing any part this season. Isn't this the same Juande Ramos who kept Diego Capel out of the team at Sevilla because he wasn't ready?

The other thing about Rose is that he seems to have been playing mostly as a CM for the reserves, even though most of us see him as a LM.

BOF & any other reserve watchers - do you think this is because we seem to have lots of good young wide players in the Academy & reserves? Or because the club see him more as a CM than a LM? What kind of a CM is he?

i think it was the Reading 6-4, that is a shot in the dark though

You could be right because I was thinking of an easy win before the game, and that he could have 20 minutes or so if we were 3 or 4 up. But we were behind time and again until very late and I was thinking to myself "there goes his chance of coming on".
