The real advantage we have here, is that Barkley seems to want to come to us. If we leave him at Everton for 6 months, how will he feel about that? It'll be bloody miserable for him. Then in the Jan window, when L'arse or someone else is desperate and offers massive wages, will his goodwill towards us still be strong enough to make the difference? We should buy him now, let him rehab in our fantastic facilities, and become a fully-integrated part of te squad before he kicks a ball in anger. All signs point to Ross wanting to come here at some point. If he is out for the next 3 months, he should just rehab at Everton and join us in January. We'll end up paying less to Everton and might even give him a bonus with his signing fee.
Aurierstill likely
Sessegnonongoing
Looking good
What's even worse is people getting up in arms about it without realizing that this 'injury' occurred before the end of his 4 week recovery time from the hernia op IIRC. It is all suspiciously suspicious. If he were working out at all it one would expect it to not be of a nature to cause such a bad hamstring injury.Fingers crossed that this is an indication that Trix's info that his injury isn't as bad as has been reported is true. It's odd that it has been nearly two weeks since the supposed incident which caused the injury and there hasn't been any official confirmation, surely they have the scans back by now.

Tottenham Hotspur, specialist purveyor of promising defenders, and football club as a side operation. No clue about trading forwards. So, if the all the above come off we would sign:
GK Gazzaniga
LB/LW Sessegnon
CB Sanchez
CB Foyth
RB Aurier
CM/AM Barkley
While that's 6 players, so we shouldn't complain, I do think we are missing a wing forward.

Don't you dare spoil my matchday sarcasms.Alli, Son, Berbatov, Kane, Defoe ?

Great update @JJetset , still the signing I want most.
I really don't get the argument about not buying him now if he won't be fit until October. We play 18 premier league games between the middle of October and the end of the January transfer window. Almost half a league season. And then there's Champions league games, FA Cup, League Cup. And the fixtures this Christmas are more congested than ever so we're going to need a lot of squad rotation during that time. Yes, we could save a few million on his transfer fee in January, but not getting him could also mean that we finish lower down the table and miss out on prize money or we could miss out on signing him completely. If we can get a £50m player for half that price now then why mess around at all?
