I find it hilarious how people like to mock Spurs. It's not like we've been relegated any time recently, we've made the Champions League without moneybags and we've strived to play good football even if it hasn't come off all the time.

I feel like from a lot of quarters we get ribbed a lot more than say, Everton or Villa.

It's not that funny. We're renowned for being soft and a push over. For being the side that will always let you down. Not being relegated any time recently is hardly setting a very high bar. We don't win stuff. We tend not to stop others from winning stuff. Other sides like to play against us because we'll roll over, or because we're a 'flash' London club.

We started pissing people off a bit when we had top 4 finishes. But even then, we'd get to a final or a semi and lose to Portsmouth or get stuffed 5-1 by Chelsea. Souness tells a nice story about Spurs arriving up to Anfield with shiny new Argentinian signings and getting stuffed 5 or 7 nil. Keane and Ferguson have always said they liked Spurs, but liked us in a way a kid likes a puppy.

Since Harry left, we've slipped a bit. The trouncings of last season have started again this, and Poch has his work cut out to change that. Hopefully he'll get us producing more of the stuff we saw against Arsenal (not very pretty but a balance between threat and solidity) rather than the Liverpool and City outings.
