QPR apparently interested. I guess it would make sense for them, especially with Ramsay there and to Fredericks overall decent display for Middlesbrough.

Queens Park Rangers are interested in a move for Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate Ryan Fredericks, according to getwestlondon.

The 22-year old impressed on loan at Middlesbrough last season, and R’s boss Chris Ramsey knows him well from his time at Spurs.

The arrivals of Deandre Yedlin in January and Kieran Trippier last month, in addition to first-choice right-back Kyle Walker, have left Fredericks’ first-team prospects looking none too bright.

The Spurs youngster enjoyed his most productive loan spell last season at the Riverside, after previous stints at Brentford and Millwall, and his form led to some calls for him to be included in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans next season.

That no longer appears to be an option and a move to Loftus Road could be one to suit all parties. QPRacquire a promising defender with experience at the top end of the Championship, Fredericks gets to reunite with his old academy coaching staff and Spurs shift a surplus player from their bloated squad.

One stumbling block could be the player's valuation, however, with Daniel Levy reportedly demanding £3 million for his sale.

It’s uncertain whether the R’s would be willing to stump up that kind of sum for a developing full-back, but the 22-year old's time at Spurs looks to be nearing its end nonetheless.

£3m is too much for QPR? Christ. 'Arry must have fucked them over even harder than I thought:eek:

Btw, i think £3m is too little. I'd ask for double that then settle around 4.5-5m.

The £3mill is probably too costly more in terms of them being very close to FFP restrictions rather than actually being broke.

They have smashed the FFP restrictions and face a massive fine. Although I doubt they'll pay the full whack especially with the FA looking to change the rules of FFP for the championship.

I actually thought £3m is pretty darn good. Knowing Levy and with Fredericks being relatively young, a sell-on percentage would likely be in the sale as well.

Yup, he has plenty of pace and was originally a winger...

I think it would be a bit stupid to let him go.

He has quality as shown whenever he played for the club. So MoPo and his staffs must give him proper/thprough evaluation before he is deemed not suitable to play in the system.

Rebrab in the ITK thread has said this: In terms of outgoings, which e expect a couple of million for Fredericks too.

So it looks like he's on his way. Not that bothered personally.

I think £3m is about right. He has no Premier League experience so we can't expect too much more than that.

Possibly we could insert a decent sell on clause as well in case he turns out to be a gem.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell him at this point.

If Walker's injury situation is as bad as they fear he could be out for a few months. Especially as reports suggested he was rushed back before.

That puts Trippier in as starting RB with either Fredericks or Yedlin as back up and I'm not sure Yedlin is quite ready for that.

If reports are correct about Yedlin going on loan for 3 months that would give Fredericks a chance to prove himself. If he doesn't then either Walker is fit and ready for rotation or Yedlin can come back and we look to sell Fredericks in January.

Would make sense. The kid is 22 now he needs to settle at a club and start playing first team football. That's not going to happen here.

I know I would have said the same thing about Ryan Mason 12 months ago. That said, we have serious depth and a fair amount of quality at RB in Walker, Trippier and apparently KWP is one of the best under 20 RB's in England so maybe you're right.

Nothing against the lad but I'm not that fussed. Think he'll end up being a decent player but nothing we'll miss too much. Good luck to him
