Amazing that he is still playing at such a high level and still contributing fantastically to a title winning team.

Yes he might have thrown it up his brother's missus but on the footballing side of things the man is a legend.

Undoubtedly people are getting fitter and stronger but I think there is definitely more awareness now about targeted regimes for older athletes. Friedel and Giggs do the same exercises. Also a social element to it. Players probably feel that retirement shouldn't be automatic
