Tottenham interim head coach Ryan Mason has given Dele Alli a clean slate after his nightmare under Jose Mourinho, and says the midfielder's return to the fold has left him with a selection headache.

The only thing Dele could have trained himself into under JM was the bench and if he came on he was almost always on a hiding to nothing I felt. Well done Ryan for making him feel properly needed again. I remember that when Ryan years ago got injured, Dele was the one that replaced him so effectively that he became undroppable.

With Dele his strengths lie in his runs in behind and his play around the box and pressing high up, generally making a nuisance for himself.

I always feel, as with son, the deeper they drop the less effective they become.

Interesting to hear why ndombele and Lucas didn't feature against Sheffield as well.

Interesting especially as some fans were livid NDombele wasnt starting. For me Mason did the right thing keeping it under wraps as it always leads to questions about Tanguys fitness.

Both of them had just recovered from knocks so probably hadn’t trained as much as those who started.
