Manchester United vs Tottenham transfer scrap looming over Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham :-

"Manchester United are ready to battle it out with Tottenham for Fulham’s young left-back Ryan Sessegnon.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho wants to snap up the talented England Under-19s international this summer — and that could be good news for Luke Shaw, who had feared being made surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by the arrival of a new senior left-back"

I'm sure Mou's public slating of Shaw will go down really well with Sessegnon and his parents. Any young player advised to go play for Mourinho should fire their agent. There is nothing a 17 year old could do in order to gain Mourinho's trust.

You'd have more chance of resurrecting your career if you were caught smoking crack in Victoria Station toilets while rogering Sooty and Sweep, and their puppeteers

There's not much we can do now mate if he is willing to buy into what we are all about then he will sign, but if it's big money he wants then he will not.
I really don't see the attraction with Utd these days they are decidedly average for me with a modern day version of George Graham managing them, still it's his choice.

i agree..just get nervous. no deal is done until it's signed/sealed/delivered. i think Sessegnon is a major talent and fits us perfectly.

Sorry how does this work again re his age ? Has he actually signed a pro contract with Fulham as he's only just 17 .or is it a compensation/tribunal job .Or possibility he may sign for them just so they can get a transfer fee with no hassle ?

The Utd stuff is probably bullshit. ITK and noises from LFC all indicate he's coming here. Short of being mega wealthy, Utd isn't the club is was, and while they could lavish him with more money, it's a graveyard compared to us for developing young players. Walker and Rose are the poster boys for this generations fb/wb players. Even if Walker goes, the progress he's made under us is exceptional and sends out powerful incentives to young players

We're way more attractive than united and their shit boring route one football. It's a graveyard for young players just like city is, unless you're already in the superstar bracket and guaranteed games.

Even though I think that article is absolute cock any young player not obsessed with money would be crazy to go there right now over us.

Edit: ffs freund. Could have saved all my typing lol

I see this player as not a full back but an attacking wide player - same as bale started at LB but then was an attacking player

Seconded. Not for one moment do I believe he will be, potentially, bought as solely a left back. He has far too many offensive tools in his locker for that role.

If this deal does go through, it could prove to be a very exciting indeed..in the long term.

A lot of depends on how 3-4-3 fares next season. A lot of people think that teams will try to go with two strikers against it next season, and a lot of teams will stop using it. If we still find it effective then Sessegnon could end up being a potent wing back.
