We don't really need him, he doesn't actually need us either, and he won't be cheap. So overall waste of time I think.
Agree, whilst I know it doesn't exactly work like this, I would rather we saved the 50M on Sess and added it to the CM kitty. We don't really need him, he doesn't actually need us either, and he won't be cheap. So overall waste of time I think.
I've said it elsewhere.
If you watch him, he has some pace but his skills are quite average & he tends to run down blind alleys. He struggles & looks awkward in tight quarters.
On the plus side, he's only 18 & yes he's scored some goals in the Championship but I still feel he has a long way to go to impress.
Going to go against the crowd here and say if the lad is available, we should be bringing him in. All young players are a risk but to have a season like he has just had demonstrates he is a special talent. If you are going to gamble do it for lads like this not on Janssens and N’Jies

Midfield stars Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney commit to staying at Fulham
Fulham have received a big boost as they prepare to return to the Premier League after Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney agreed to extend their contracts at Craven Cottage.
The club’s star midfielders will reject interest from established top-flight sides to sign new deals at Fulham in the next few weeks. Sessegnon will extend a contract that was due to expire in 2020 and Cairney will add another 12 months to a deal that has four years still to run.
Sessegnon rejected the chance to join Manchester United in January to focus on helping Fulham to win promotion from the Championship and has decided to stay at the club. The 18-year-old, who is equally comfortable as a left winger or at left back, has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Having made his England Under-21 debut in a Euro 2019 qualifying win against Ukraine last March, Sessegnon is in Gareth Southgate’s plans for the senior squad next season. He has concluded that continuing to play regularly under Slavisa Jokanovic will be the best thing for his development. Southgate is known to be an admirer of Sessegnon and considered taking him to the World Cup before opting for the experience of Ashley Young and Danny Rose, but the England manager is expecting him to put pressure on that pair next season

I mean Sess could be one of the very best players on the planet, he's more productive than anyone else his age (Yes I know it's the Championship and all that) and he's stood out in international tournaments. For £50m you don't gamble you need fully developed talent or potential to be one of the very best players on the planet.

Exactly this. Sessegnon won't make a fuss about moving and Fulham certainly won't need to sell. This one died the moment Fulham got promoted.
