It was masamah, pulling clear enough, 5 lengths-ish, during the race and holding on despite weakening in the latter part of the final furlong.
Won well.

Yeah I read a report that said 6 lengths clear, only horse on the bridle at halfway and Buick didn't want to take the field on from the front against that headwind! Pretty impressive.
So maybe 'NewFrankel' rather than Newfangled? Definitely goes on my alerts list, apparently already 10-1 for the 1,000 guineas.

Ta, it one of those, 'shit, I can see what the cheeky f**kers up to!' moments. His best jockey on his supposedly 2nd string horse having deliberately hidden its ability on testing ground from the punters. RP also gave it pick of the paddock.
