I'm really keen to see how Winston reid goes for the Spam this year. Looks to be a good prospect.

I actually quite like Chris Brunt. Wouldn't want him at our club or anything like that but I still kind of like him. Crazy left foot, on par with or better than Bale's. Almost cracked the crossbar against Sunderland.

Andy King of Leicester City is a player who caught my eye last season. I'd like to see what other peoples opinions of him are.

Seeing as we've been linked by L'equipe, and Diego Forlan (new member on SC) seems to think we're after him, who knows what about Kevin Gameiro? Clips and stats from the past two years make him look very promising both creatively and as a goalscorer.

Chris Brunt looked a real talent at Wednesday and has stepped up a level.

Yes chris brunt. Always stands out for west brom - always. Seems to be there most threatening player, quality left foot indeed. He can be a big player for a better EPL team with better players around him could be a really good signing for someone.

Very much like downing if you were to find a comparible player.

Nice thread, agree that Chris Brunt has a really tidy left foot, seems accurate and powerful. Agree that he's not someone i'd want us to sign but still seems decent.

I'm interested to see how Dorans gets on at this level, was hot stuff in the championship last year.

I was watching a bit of Bundesliga this weekend and 2 Croations caught my eye, one has been mentioned on here before by Vedi, that's Mandzukic at Wolfsburg who played just to the left of Dzeko, and the other was Lakic who plays up front for Kaiserslautern. He scored one lucky goal and one really good one. Will be interestng to see how he gets on this season.

After today's draw can anyone pick out any players to look out for? Obviously we all know Inter. No one to worry about there!

How about FC Twente? Douglas is a superb young defender. Is Ruiz
likely to be there though?

I know Bremen reasonably well and they have one of my favourite players in Marko Marin.

It would have been more convincing if he'd posted the name before the l'Equipe story, mind.

Back to Dembélé, I agree that Fulham could have made a smart signing. I was quite impressed by him in 2007-08 and 2008-09 (with the usual, 'Yeah, but it's the Eredivisie' caveat); he seems to have regressed last season, but then so did AZ after van Gaal left.

Despite flopping for Chavski, he never had much of a chance, but I always felt Pizzarro was a talented and underrated player at Munich and I think he will cause our defence problems.

It's difficult to figure out what went wrong at Chelsea, where he was Pizarrtist rather than Pizarro. However, bus-parking is something you rarely see in the Bundesliga.

I see that Lakic scored again today for Kaiserslautern against Bayern, i never saw that 2-0 scoreline coming. Sounds like Bayern dominated though and were just unlucky.

Dembele was excellent against Blackpool. Be interesting to see how he develops.

I finally watched the Belgium Germany game and Dembele was arguably the man of the match. His pace, movement and dribbling caused endless problems.

Great buy for Fulham

This was a very entertaining game. Dembele really was the standout performer and I agree with everything you said. I'm going to pay attention to his displays whenever I can this season

James McCarthy at Wigan is going to be an excellent midfielder. I would love us to buy him. He has a great engine, gets stuck in and dictates the temp. And he is not even 21 yet. Super player.

Would also like to back up the Steven Fletcher and Kalinic claims. Both very talented.

James McCarthy is definietly a player I'm going to keep an eye on this season. I've only seen him play a few times but I've always been impressed.

It'll also be interesting to see how Tom Cleverley does at Wigan. Anybody seen much of Cleverley last season?

I saw Cleverly get a few mins for Man Utd in their pre-season and he looked really good, scored a nice goal as well. I'll definitely be watching out for him.

I want to know if anyone has watched much of Georginio Wijnaldum at Feyenoord? He is a powerful pacey player that plays wide left forward and I think he looks to have good potential. I haven't watched much of Feyenoord's full games so can't comment too much on him but i have been impressed with what I have seen so far. He's just 19 according to wiki.
