Suarez can play up top on his own, but he's certainly not ideal as a lone striker (a better option than Crouch though).

We'd soon enough have threads moaning about how he drops deep, and we should sell him because he's not getting in the box enough...

Continuity is what we need. Give Redknapp a bit of time, 2 full seasons is fuck all. Just wish the usuals would stop their crying about the same shit without anything to back it up.

Why's he only good enough for that kind of place? Are we not creating chances? Has he got the type of team he wants yet? No.

Harry only intends to manage one more season at Spurs (at the most). I'd give him years (not a believer in chopping and changing) but he doesn't want them. Seems silly to act as if he's going to build a dynasty when he's a short-term appointment.

They didnt say he wasnt good enough. They said he couldnt lead the line. Which he cant. He obviously is a very talented player, but not the sort of player were were looking for. In place of VDV? Yes. Leading the line with VDV in behind? No.

I no he is not as small as he looks and is verging on 6ft, 5 11" or something, but he isnt big enough to lead our line. Good player, wrong time for Spurs.

I alsoelieve that, contrary to belief, Harry could be here for a while. When pressed on it, he bigs up his England ambitions, couldnt turn it down bla bla.

Occasionally though, he has an odd slip. Like when he was talking about our style of play, how he wants to enjoy his last few years in football. He was talking about Spurs then, not England.

All being well, we buy well in the summer, have a successful season next year, and really push on.

England is the perfect job for Redknapp. Couple of days work every month, lots of media hanging on your every cheeky quip, no coaching, only top players (well as near as you get to top with england), and it's almost impossible to be any worse than the recent predecessors (his favourite start point).

There's just one small problem-he struggles when expectations are high.

Thought Suarez was a fackin disgrace today. Should have seen red for that kick out at Daws and he was acting like a right drama queen all the way through the game. No need for it. Knobhead.

He was awful. When things are going against him (he has King and Dawson in front of him) he doesn't like it and spit his dummy out like a real baby. You want that player here?

I maintain that while Suarez looks a good and effective player for the money being mentioned we needed (long term) a lead striker not a support striker to rotate with VDV.

He may well have been a decent signing and he may well have given us the extra energy we needed after the CL exit when we seemed to go a bit flat, its fair to say theres a decent chance signing him could have been the difference between 5th and 4th....but you could say that about any decent striker because our own have been so poor.

The failing for me was ending up empty handed more so than not signing Suarez specifically. Either way there is no point crying over spilt milk and what's important now is that we keep our best players and sign the 2-3 key signings we need to make us a real challenger next season, forget Suarez....threads about him are as pointless as the one about Tarabaat
