Today I received my new Stadium Access Card for 2016/2017 season and the letter states that the first two home cup games will only include Carling up and FA Cup fixtures, Champions League fixtures at Wembley are excluded.

When we last qualified CL games they were included, maybe I missed a previous communication but I am a bit pi$$ed with this, to me the club have purposely devalued the price of my ticket, no doubt the games at Wembley will cost a lot more. :(

This is after having to move seat because of the North/East demolition.

I started a thread about this this a few weeks back when I realised this.
Bit of a piss take IMO, a cheeky little cash grab from the clubs most loyal fans.

It's just something the club do, they chip away, loyal fans are there to be exploited until they squeeze your pips once too often, you jack your ticket and someone else more willing to pay even more takes your place.

It's the churn that enables them to bump prices.

Interested as to why you would be surprised by this, did you really think the first CL game was gonna be a freebie? Being realistic about 'loyalty' when there's high ticket demand - it's just good business sense essentially

Every year we were in the EL it included the first two home EL matches.(unless we were drawn at home in the League Cup.)

The last time we were in the CL it included the first two home CL matches.

That's why.

Can they logistically add it to season tickets for another stadium? Surely that's the problem?

I can't see it being that hard if they really wanted to...they've gone for the easier option which coincidentally earns them more money.

I think it would be difficult to include them. What price Wembley ticket could they add? They are all different prices and in different areas. It's not like you have 'your' seat at Wembley.

Are we able to charge the same price for wembley tickets, do we keep all ticket revenue from wembley or is it shared?
As it happens I'm happy with this as it's a journey to Spurs for me, I'm not looking forward to schlepping over to Wembley in the rain.

maybe wait and see how they handle wembley tickets before you complain? Maybe they'll give complimentary seats once they work out logistics. You don't know.

EL games have been part of the cup-pricing scheme in recent years (£25 in all parts of the ground) and so were priced no differently to the domestic cup games. I'd imagine the Champs League games will be Cat A games (they were in 2010/11) and so that's a clear reason why they would not be included in the season tickets.

Its a bit of a money-grab, but there are clear distinctions between how tickets will be sold and priced for the Champs League games at Wembley next season vs how they were sold and priced for the EL games in the last few seasons, so the change in rules is understandable.
