Is the Club actually having a Laugh!

I have been away and not purchased my tickets for mine and my dads season tickets for the semi final.

I call today just got back from holiday and its still in the members application process to be told sorry you cant now buy tickets its closed!! they haven't been sold yet so why cant I buy them? I then ask can I on my season ticket membership apply with the members? no your not a member you cant do this!

surely if the ballot isn't closed they can either sell me two tickets as I am entitled to be able to buy them or add me to the ballot list!!

Rules are rules. Not sure what you expected the club to do? Everyone had plenty of notice about the application periods yet for whatever reason you didn't comply with them.

Problem I have is I am willing to enter the members ballot and try my luck there. I know I don't have as many points as most of the members but I am willing to try. I understand I missed the season ticket deadline. That's my fault for taking a holiday and not thinking ahead. But just want the option to try the ballot and I'm not allowed to do that!!

Didn't realise the ticket sale was open yet. Just missed the deadline for Bronze members by half an hour

I'd be pissed if I was you but a season ticket holder entering the members ballot wouldn't be fair at all on us members

Season ticket holder huh? Well you ****s weren't going Chelsea away a few years ago when I could get a ticket. Now you're all on board and I've got no hope.

Fuck your loyalty.

There are different sale/application periods for a reason. We get more tickets for the semi final than there are season ticket holders, so season ticket holders are effectively guaranteed a ticket. What's left then goes to the tens of thousands of members based on loyalty points so those who have been to the most games over the last four seasons stand a better chance of being rewarded with a semi final ticket. 24,000 members applied for 5,000 tickets for the Arsenal game the other week. It would be extremely unfair on members if season ticket holders were allowed to purchase tickets outside of their sale window and effectively take tickets away from members - many of whom will be waiting for their chance to buy a season ticket anyway.

Sure it sucks if you were away during the sale period. Perhaps the sale period should have been longer, but it's understandable that the members application period is longer given how many more members than season ticket holders there are.

ST and members loyalty points are done differently. They're not compatible.

Where did you go that they had no internet? You clearly didn't want to go that much.

We're you in Birchington on Sea for your holiday as that's the only place on the planet with no mobile internet.

Why don't people pay more attention to ticket news? If you miss a deadline that's no ones fault but your own.

On another subject, do we know how many tickets were remaining for members after the ST lot got theirs? (Or didn't in OP's case). Is it likely to be under 7k? If so I doubt I have a chance.

Think I heard we have around 22.5k ST holders, and there are around 32k tckets available to us so if it is under 7k where do the rest of the tickets go?

I left it with my old man to sort out!! I tend to like switching off completely when I go on holiday no net nothing just relax. But that's personal preference.

Of course I wanted to go. Who doesn't! That's why we're all hear right. Will just have to whack it on the old telly box. Bust a few beers and get the BBQ going!! COYS
