That makes sense. I mean, him being allowed into the country is pretty key to the deal. Unless we are just buying him to play in the three away CL group games and one away EL knockout game...
So two of our potential signings might not be able play for a few months

I'm pretty sure this is not happening. He's 'agreed a deal' with half the teams in the prem this summer and still not signed for any of them. It stinks of an agent just whoring his client around until someone bites.

No one seems to be able to find this article which everyone is quoting as the source

Has anyone of note our end mentioned this? Haven't seen him play too often but I remember him playing once, maybe against arsenal and he looked an absolute animal (in a good way).

Yes he might have a questionable past and his previous social media antics may have been deplorable, but everyone deserves a second chance and there are a long list of people who are right ***** off the pitch but have won stuff. Not the be all and end all but a bit of winning experience would help.

Happy to have him, if poch wants him. He's earned the right to pick and choose his players now

I'll let A&C have a freebie if this ever happened

Thanks ;

Very reputed Journos like Mark Langdon, have stuck their neck out & said we are the favourite to land him. I personally can't see it, but these distinctly varied views are interesting indeed.

Could spurs afford to take a gamble on this guy who carries so much baggage... Very risky !!

I agree. He's a beast. He's done some bad things, but sometimes you have to gamble to reach the top. Woodgate was involved in the assault of a young asian student. He didn't cause us any problems (other than his injury problems :p). A new club, a new environment and playing/training with a team instead of a squad mercenaries can have a positive influence on him. And we have the captain of the french national team in our club. Lloris will probably help the guy in the beginning and have a positive influence on him.

What a shame that the ITKs have nixed this. From a footballing perspective I can barely think of an RB who'd suit us better than Aurier, and certainly he's the best from a business perspective.

Personally I don't care if someone is a c*nt if the manager has an agreement with him - Poch has shown that he deserves the chance to develop and reform players IMO.

I kind of agree that Poch has earned it, but I think what I've seen from Poch is that he uses his chance to influence decisions to direct us towards good characters who will behave professionally. IIRC he pulled out of the Berahino deal after he went on strike to get a move! Classic! He's fully committed to a professional approach and doesn't accept nonsense from anyone. [aside: Rose will be gone as soon as it suits Poch and Levy IMO].

Wouldn't surprise me if he'd told Sanchez to go and train as normal until the deal is agreed.

So I agree he's earned it, and that's why I doubt it will happen.

Reckon this is agent talk or potentially a smokescreen. It could also be a way for us to be putting pressure on the selling club for whoever our target RB is.

just read the article - who the fuck writes this shit and who the fuck checks it...this is about his ban from entering the UK:

"Aurora has appealed, but it is not yet clear whether Spurs will receive the outcome before the transfer window shuts."

Isn't Aurora a Disney princess?
I thought It was the large bit around the nipple!
