Funny how this time last week he was public enemy number one, now half the members on here would give their first born to the home office in exchange for this guys work permit!

If its denied, we wont appeal it for that reason. Too much of a risk. We'll just be left short further(we'll already be left short in attack as is)

This is what I don't understand, why would Levy even be contemplating this? There is more to all of this than we know.

Hoping the appeal was successful, as mentioned by Herc, and we are simply keeping the info private until it's all signed, sealed, and delivered.

I don't think the club would announce if the appeal failed. If Herc is right and they ARE announcing the decision tomorrow, that can only mean positive news

I think u missed the "allegdly", until the appeal is heard surely? I wasn't a big fan of signing him but he's deserved a fair trial.

Well technically he's had a fair trial already and been found guilty, he's just appealing the sentence.

If his conviction is upheld he's going to jail, simple as that.

Well no, because his original sentence was a suspended 2-month sentence so he doesn't have to go to jail unless he breaches his terms. If his appeal is denied, then I assume his original sentence just stands so he'd still only have a suspended sentence

I'm really sorry mate but you've lost me completely as you say he's still appealing his conviction ? Every one other than you says it's been overturned already.

If you're right and it's still pending there's zero chance of it being completed this late on as the Home Office has to receive that notification before they can even start to process of granting a Work Permit.

So your assessment is that our Club are incompetent tossers who don't know what they're doing ?

I don't know what to tell you mate, every reliable source I've seen i.e. national newspapers etc. have said he's still in the process of appealing his conviction. You claim I'm the only one saying he hasn't already been cleared but, to be completely honest, every single source I've seen backs up what I've said so I'm not sure who you've read say that he's been cleared. If it's just random people on here then I'd be inclined to say that they're wrong given that all the national papers say he's still in the process of appealing. I even linked you to one such article in my previous post.

I've never said that the club are incompetent, just saying that his appeal hasn't been heard yet so he has definitely not been cleared already as you were suggesting. Whether or not that means there's zero chance of his work permit being granted is another matter. I'm not an immigration lawyer so I simply don't know.

How is my post spam? All I've done is state the facts as reported in the national papers, for example:

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...am-hotspur-serge-aurier-psg-transfer-deadline
The 24-year-old Ivory Coast international was given a suspended two-month prison sentence for the assault of a police officer outside a Paris nightclub. The sentence was “convertible” which means that, in such cases, the offender is more likely to do community service and pay a heavier fine. Aurier protested his innocence and he appealed – the outcome of which remains unknown.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...home-office-paris-saint-germain-a7919136.html
Aurier is appealing against the sentence but that process will not be completed before the end of the transfer window on Thursday.

It's just a fact that he hasn't yet been cleared. I don't understand where people are getting the idea that he's been cleared from. I can't find a single report that says he's been cleared of his assault charge. All the reports just say he's appealed it and it's still ongoing. So in what way am I spamming?

thfc wil want keep confidential until maybe two hours before window slams shut

thfc are the sponsors for the work permit , so all the info goes to the club , why should the club have to discuss with the media anything on this

theyll reveal when they want to , no dictat from the media
