Oh I miss the day when we had doherty, gardner or something like that be our defence

We've had some wonders at the back. Thirwell, Rocha, Vega, Austin Konchesky, Gilberto, Tramazanni to name a few! (possible wrong spellings there!). This potential defence now, with a huge character like Aurier - just wow!

Honestly, the more I think of Aurier at Spurs the more I'm getting excited. Absolutely huge signing in my eyes and especially at £22-25million pounds. At his best he is literally is one of the best right backs in Europe and a perfect Walker replacement if not better. Now you cannot get a better manager in Pochettino that will provide him the training that will only benefit him and improve as a player and person. Big big signing. Fucking get in! COYS (y)

Half the price of Walker. What a signing this would be.

Shame we'll have to wait until after the international break to see him in action on the pitch.

Fairclough left us for Leeds and got a First Division Champs winners medal somehow.

I'm mostly looking forward to how Aurier will develop as a person. Several players have previously said how Pochettino not only develops your footballing ability, but he also helps you grow as a person. I think there is not a better manager from which Aurier can learn off at the moment. Potentially a very good signing in my opinion. COYS

People get desperate for some deadline day action. Better to hold off, so we've got something to announce.

if I t'were a betting man, i'm guessing this'll be announced early afternoon tomorrow. so very happy he's joined us. think he's exactly what we need, and hopefully will help Trippier improve too. as I think not having walker there has somehow messed with his confidence. too much pressure perhaps?

either way... Serge is gonna kick ass for us. I'm certain of it!!
