Ryan Sessegnon has set his sights on joining Tottenham this summer. The 18-year-old has interest from Paris St Germain and Juventus but wants to stay in the Premier League and Tottenham is his preferred destination. Sessegnon, who turns 19 later this month, has one year left on contract though Fulham are still expected to demand around £35million.

Very interested to see what happens here. He showed good potential in the Championship but then struggled in a poor team in the Prem.

Has made many write him off or think he has great potential.

He stayed at Fulham when good Prem sides were interested so he seems to favour his playing career over a move up.

Would like to see us go for him but wouldn't be bothered if we didn't get him.

Would depend on the price for me. Wouldn't blow half the budget on what I've seen this season. Looked a big step backwards.

Not been impressed with him at all this season but surely by now we know better than to write off youngsters?

If Poch wants him, then fine by me. Have no idea where he’d play him. Doesn’t look great defensively and this season hasn’t looked even decent in an attacking sense.
He had a weird knack of popping up in the right place last season. Nothing overly amazing but his stats were brilliant.

Would be interesting to see what Poch could do with him

Purely down to finances and how hard Sessegnon pushes for the move. 35m seems way over the top based on what I've seen this season, Fulham's situation and what else we could get for that money.

To me, the fact that he has been used all over the pitch suggests that he hasn't fully settled as a pro yet and doesn't fully know who he actually is a top flight player. Pochettino could help him find his niche and focus him more on what he actually can succeed at doing.

Like i've said before and others have said above, it solely depends on money...at 35M, I don't think he's worth that based on performances in the EPL... however If Poch wants him then it doesn't matter how much he cost I think we really need to back Poch 100% now.

Apart from the authors words, I didn't see anything within his article that suggested Sessegnon wants to move to Tottenham?

Looked perfect for the left wingback role when playing in the championship. Only issue is I really don’t like us playing 3 at the back anymore.

He didn't exactly spark Fulham into life this season did he? However, I feel that with Poch guiding him he can become a star

Sign him up. He's worth 25M, they want 35M, meet them in the middle with no add-ons/futures and wrap it up.

This one is a no-brainer for me. Even if he turns out not to be the star his potential may suggest, we'd not lose much selling him on. And he could be a great versatile addition to play anywhere along the left side. And he could be star quality if the penny drops for him in the next 2-3 seasons.

Agree although I wouldn't completely rule out 3 at the back when needed. Altogether not a bad system and the issue is the personnel we have played it with this season compared to previous. The key to making it work is the flexibility you get with a DM/DC like Dier who can slide back and forth from midfield to centreback and change the shape of the team at different stages of the game depending on flow. Could have really done with that in the first 30mins v Ajax.

This is as good a situation as we will find I think.

a. Really good last year
b. We definitely want him
c. His hometown team get promoted and he's determined to stay and make a go of it, but he also makes clear if they don't get promoted he wants to come to us
d. First year in Prem is really tough for him, in a terrible side. That's the transition year when we all know good players often struggle to adapt. He looks even worst in that team.
e. His value is down as they get relegated, and he hasn't looked good all year
f. His potential is unchanged, and he still wants to come to us, but now a year older and with that crucially difficult first year in Prem out of the way
g. (If we do sign him) Poch gets in a really promising young English player at perfect time (as clearly we can't afford them after they've become very successful in the Prem)

I'm hoping this goes through. I'm one of those that prefers it when we bring young players into the team.

Really think this will happen this summer, as we have been after him for a while. The potential is there for all to see, with the added value of being left footed. ~£25m probably

Would probably work well in a back 3 or the system that had Dier dropping back when we were in possession, but to play in a back 4 like we have been doing lately would need a big improvement in his defensive work. IMO, that makes 35m too expensive and we need to use that money elsewhere. We could probably get Telles or Grimaldo for a similar amount.

Didn't really stand a chance. That was one of the worst prem teams in recent memory.

His almost non existant performances this season should half that price tag of £35

They aren't home grown are they? We need to boost our home grown contingent to allow a full champions league squad.

Haven't been impressed with him in the Prem, but if Poch wants him then I'm OK with it.
